Just as it sounds, we thought it was time to start highlighting some of the great work done by our Amnplify Photographers each week. Every week, photos will be submitted, a “Top 5” will be selected and voted on, and one photo will be given the title of our “Photo Of The Week”. Just a little recognition for a photographer who has a goal to shoot impeccably.
The truth is we have thousands of photos posted each month and most of our photographers should get an award for their work. Live Music Photography is a skill like no other. Whether you are squashed into a pit or roaming through the crowd for “The Shot”, the photographer usually has little time and on many occasions poor light to deal with, not to mention the usually “charged” crowd taking every “perfect” spot. In my eyes, they are experts in their field and often unseen and unheard. Over time, we want to change that a little.
Enjoy the photos, and checkout more of their work.

Nicky Carrall
Nicky is a Sydney based photographer with a passion for live music. Given her first camera at age 5, Photography has been an integral part of her life. Nicky has been photographing LIVE MUSIC from her teen years as an avid Music fan since 1985 and joining her first Music publication at the beginning of 2015. Nicky travels near and far to capture the energy on stage.
“I saw Extreme back in 1993 and they were awesome. I was so enthusiastic to be covering this gig and Extreme didn’t disappoint, they were on fire from the start. It was fun capturing the energy of Nuno Bettencourt and Gary Cherone in particular. Amazing gig! My favourite shoot so far this year.”

“A super fun shoot as both bands (Extreme & Mr. Big – see photo) were highly animated and energetic, and they kept playing up to the crowd and also us photographers! I wish every shoot could be that much fun!”

Connie Smith
I am a 19 year old photographer based on the Mornington Peninsula. I’ve always loved music and photography so I combined the two when I was about 15 and have been shooting shows ever since.
“This shot was one of my favourites from the whole show, the front women of this band (Zoe Fox and the Time Clocks) was so quirky and different. It was so captivating to watch her perform. I felt like this photo was a great show of her presence on stage.”
