Just as it sounds, we thought it was time to start highlighting some of the great work done by our Amnplify Photographers each week. Every week, photos will be submitted, a “Top 5” will be selected and voted on, and one photo will be given the title of our “Photo Of The Week”. Just a little recognition for a photographer who has a goal to shoot impeccably.
The truth is we have thousands of photos posted each month and most of our photographers should get an award for their work. Live Music Photography is a skill like no other. Whether you are squashed into a pit or roaming through the crowd for “The Shot”, the photographer usually has little time and on many occasions poor light to deal with, not to mention the usually “charged” crowd taking every “perfect” spot. In my eyes, they are experts in their field and often unseen and unheard. Over time, we want to change that a little.
Enjoy the photos, and checkout more of their work.

I started shooting with Amnplify 3 years ago and it helped me confirm my love for photography and that I wanted to shoot as a career! I have now been working as a freelance photographer for almost 10 years under my business name AH Imagery. Amnplify helped me get my foot in the door with live music photography with my first gig being Phil Jamieson at Rock Lily in November 2015. Since then I have shot a huge variety of shows from small intimate venues to stadiums and Festival and I also red carpets for music industry events.
“This was my first opportunity to see Vera Blue live and to shoot her set as well. She’s the most beautiful performer to watch and photograph. Her style and her movement work together for some great shots! She’s magical and I need to shoot her again ASAP!”

Anne-Laure Marie
Anne-Laure is a french Melbourne based events and live music photographer. Passionate about music, there is hardly a week when she is not at a gig or festival, in the pit shooting her favorite artists.
“The shot of a Nameless Ghoul was taken during Download Festival France which took place on the 15,16,17 and 18th of June in Bretigny-sur-Orge in France. This band, Ghost, is known for dressing up, wearing masks and make an incredible impression on stage. The Nameless Ghouls were often right in front of the stage staring at the audience, they were quite captivating and I focused on them for quite some time to finally have one of them looking right at my lens!”

I have been photographing artists for close to 15 years, including live shows & photo-shoots. I started off shooting local bands at the Lansdowne Hotel in Sydney where a friend of mine organised a monthly band night of eclectic musicians & styles. Whilst being fun it was also a steep learning curve & after a few years this lead to shooting for publications & later, working at music festivals doing live video & stills. I am extremely passionate about supporting local artists whenever I can to give them a platform to promote their efforts – whether it is a review, interview, music video or photographs. For me, it doesn’t matter if the band is playing in a pub or a stadium, I always bring my professional attitude, respect for others & a keen eye for capturing an unique shot. I’m a huge fan of electronic music & spend a lot of my time listening to podcasts & mixes – the more experimental the better.
“After a costume change, St. Vincent came back on stage and wowed the audience with her amazing guitar shredding.”

“The shot of Oma Jali was taken during Download Festival France which took place on the 15,16,17 and 18th of June in Bretigny-sur-Orge in France. Oma Jali is the lead singer of the french rock band The Noface. Oma had a real presence on stage, a burning energy and powerful voice moving and dancing all around, and giving it to her audience and the photographers.”

“It was a packed photo pit for St. Vincent at The Carriageworks and this was the first photo I took when she came on stage.”
