Who’s ready for a magical masterpiece?

Upcoming American singer/songwriter Bazzi is back to put a spin on his track Beautiful by remixing it with pop music’s hottest prodigy this year, Camila Cabello. After Camila confessed that she wanted to work with the new artist on Instagram, the two were spotted around studios in February 2018, later bringing the starlet to announce that Bazzi would be her opening act for her Never Be the Same Tour. Bazzi bounced high into the music scene late 2017 with his hit single Mine, which is still managing to stay within the top 20 of the Billboard 100 today. The artist released his first studio album Cosmic this year in April. Camila on the other hand has been nothing but fireworks and explosions as her career has continued to soar after the success of her worldwide smash hit Havana, which is also still charting highly on the Billboard 100 a year later. The songstress’ first studio album Camila has since been certified platinum.

The instrumental of the track stays very consistent throughout its course. There are subtle beat drops through both verses that pick up the track from its almost invisible background in the chorus. However, I do love how the instrumental isn’t exactly noticeable in the chorus as it really draws focus to Bazzi’s vocals and lyrical content, truly highlighting the message of the track in a strong manner. It’s a very chilled, laid back type of vibe that perfectly aligns with the style of music we’ve been getting from the artist since he broke into the scene. The tempo of the track also cohesively works like dynamite with Camila’s musical technique since the drop of her first studio album.

The lyrics to the track focus on themes of love and desire. In the chorus of the track, Bazzi make it evident that time slips away so quickly, therefore he wants to let his lover know that they’re beautiful and that all their imperfections are truly adored. In his verse, he also emphasises that fact that they’ve got a history with one another that goes back from when they were younger. Camila uses her verse to reciprocate Bazzi’s feelings, as she also believes that there is never enough time when they’re together and that every moment spent together is a realisation of how beautiful her lover truly is as well. The lyrics, along with the instrumental, makes this track a sweet movie-esque type duet that you could easily see between two passionate lovers during a romantic scene. Their enchanting vocals together make for pure charm and it’s the duet of the year we didn’t know we needed.

Luckily Camila fell in love with the original Beautiful and felt the need to go into the studio and write her own verse for it, because she couldn’t have hit a bigger home run. Her passion for the track is truly captured within this dynamic duet along with Bazzi’s insanely captivating vocals. With chemistry so strong in real life, you can easily listen to this remix and automatically feel the chemistry in this glittering track as well. If you’re looking for a tune that’s going to mesmerise you time and time again, then this is definitely the type of vibe you’re after.
