This show is full of bittersweet excitement as Melbourne fans gather at Wrangler Studios to send off Belle Haven’s latest album ‘You, Me And Everything In Between’.

During the local support bands Future Static and Furious George a steady stream of punters came through the doors of the tiny venue. And by the time Brisbane’s Stateside and the UK’s Casey had finished their sets, Wrangler was absolutely packed with fans patiently waiting for much loved Belle Haven to take the stage.

And take the stage they did, without introductions the band broke into the song ‘You.’ and with no hesitation the crowd started jumping around and singing along.
The band’s own coloured lighting created such a mood throughout the entire show that it really made this tiny Wrangler Studios show feel more special than usual.

The next song ‘Little Polaroid Boy’ prompted an eruption of voices as the entire crowd shouted lyrics at the stage. This mood did not change when ‘highfLIAR’ began; and what did fly was Tom’s bass guitar as it erratically swung around his body, yet he still managed to play everything. This is the type of energy to expect at any Belle Haven show…instruments spinning through the air, band members standing on speakers, and of course the head banging which the audience also love to take part in.

Headbanging is exactly what happened during the short but heavy ‘Egophobia’ as the crowd pushed even closer to the stage whilst singer David stood front and centre screaming into the crowd and giving an almost flawless and passionate performance as always.

The popular tune ‘Selfmade’ followed, and this is one song that everyone knew all of the words to.
One of the highlights of the entire show was ‘Hollywood’. Drumming and chanting is what best describes this performance. An extra drum kit appears in the centre of the mosh almost out of thin air as band members lean over the crowd, holding lights toward their fans.

‘Burn The Witch’ and ‘Ghost’ continued the heavy vibes, which of course resulted in a few crowd surfers and some friendly pushing and shoving in the pit.

The next song was the most anticipated of the afternoon. ‘By Hook Or By Crook’ has never been performed live before this tour. It was an emotional experience for everyone, even some fans had tears in their eyes as David gave his all during this heartbreaking song.

The mood quickly changed once again as the band jumped back into it with another fast paced track, ‘Me.’, and the crowd did not hesitate to jump around all over again.
The show finished with ‘The Carving Knife’, the energy in the room almost doubled for this one last song as it was an obvious favourite for most fans.

The show ended on a high and it was really amazing to see the love and support that people are giving this band, at one point even David reminisced about one of the bands first shows at the same all ages venue from years ago where they barely had an audience at all, and it really goes to show how things are only ever getting bigger and better for Belle Haven as they continue to grow.
