In Hearts Wake may have been laying low for the past year or so, but it is for a very good reason. New music is on the horizon, and of course the release of their single ‘Worldwide Suicide’ which is a song that couldn’t have come at a more perfect time.
With chaos of the world in the amidst, and our social and economic structure pretty much on the brink of leaving us grasping for whatever there is left, there is always one thing that we can count on, and that is music.
‘Worldwide Suicide’ showcases that In Hearts Wake are still more passionate than ever when it comes bringing music and world chaos together. Bringing to surface the problems that we can no longer ignore or turn a blind eye to. The world around us is going insane, with devastating nationwide bushfires that has left one too many towns in tatters, floods that swept everything away, and now a pandemic that is affecting every single part of our day-to-day life.
This song rips right into the middle of it all, with sneering and growling vocals, guitars wailing, and drums crushing down, it depicts how everyone is feeling, angry and scared of what is happening. Is this the sign of the Earth begging for recovery?
It’s hard not to get heated up with all that pent up rage inside of you when listening to this track. The way each section is structured and conveyed, it paints a vivid picture of the world collapsing around us. It’s resentful and unforgiving; it kicks you in the chest, shaking you to your core.
In Hearts Wake is telling us to wake up, they are telling us that now more than ever we need to pull our heads in, because it looks like the world is the brink of something unimaginable.
