Have you always wanted to be a musician? When did you get the song writing bug?
I’ve been writing and singing songs my whole life. My aunty would sit me on her lap when I was in nappies, teaching me chords on the piano. I’ve been running around since I was 9-10 years old, manifesting and telling everyone that I’m gonna be a famous musician like Missy Higgins and Alicia Keys. Most people grow out of that phase, but for me that never happened, so I started taking it seriously and decided to pursue my music career professionally this year in 2021.

How would you describe your sound? Why do you think people resonate with your music?
It’s taken me so long to pursue music because I was waiting until I could find a unique sound that is different to anyone that I’ve heard before, so its hard for me describe it. But I have been told the album has hints of Billie Eilish, Rufus Du Sol, and Safia. I hope that people can resonate with my music because it’s all has a good, positive vibration and a unique flare.

Which artist’s music and/or performance, past or present, inspires you today?
I am really inspired by Music Higgins, Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, Alicia Keys and Grimes, Each for such different reasons. I just love looking to up such talented women who are all doing it for the love of the art of music.

Your new album “Wonderland” will be released in 2022! Describe its origin and evolution.
My Album ‘Wonderland’ comes out January 14th 2022. As soon as I learned how to produce music in October 2021 it was like 14 years of backlogged creative energy exploded out of me at once, and I made 100 songs in the first 4 months of production. I was meditating for an hour everyday to try and keep my ideas organised. I had nothing but time during lockdown and the process of learning to make music was the happiest I’ve ever felt in my life. I felt so grateful to be having that experience and made ‘Wonderland’ the album as a little gift that I could give back to the world to say thank you.

Any tours or events coming up soon? What are you looking forward to, and what can the fans expect?
Unfortunately I don’t have any tours or events scheduled just yet but I am going to try my absolute hardest to get out and about in Melbourne and Bendigo when we open back up! I’m also planning on heading over to Vancouver at some point in 2022 to have a go at pursuing music over there.

How has COVID affected you to date? What have you introduced to balance the losses from missed events?
All independent artists and people working in the music industry have taken a massive hit from covid. Not only the financial loss from cancelled gigs but the loss of imperative opportunities that end up building your career as an artist. There is no way to get any of that back unfortunately, but it also keeps me excited for how much the industry is going to boom when we reopen because people are so ready to go out and listen to music again.

If you could perform with any music artist, Alive or Dead, who would you choose? And why?
I would perform with Missy Higgins, because she is my idol from childhood and I know every single word to her sound of white album.

Do you have any long-term aspirations as a music artist?
I have so many long term aspirations as a music artist. I daydream everyday about what my life could look like as a super successful musician. But I don’t really care what it is I end up doing as long I am making music that makes even one person happy, my job is done.

What is the best thing about performing to a live audience? What’s been the career highlight so far?
Performing live is so cool because I think the biggest moments of growth come from being outside of your comfort zone. It makes you stronger and more confident. The highlight my career was performing at Groovin the Moo in 2019. I was so nervous and tried to back out like 3-4 times but I got over it and did it anyway. It was a really cool day that will stay with me forever.
