Hailing from Chicago, Bren Got Hits, also known as Brenon Williams, is an emerging sensation in the music industry. He embarked on his songwriting journey four years ago, exploring various styles before finding his groove in pop and R&B with a touch of hip-hop. His singles “Friday Night,” “Toxic,” “Dancer,” and new single “365” boast an infectious Afrobeat sound infused with Bren’s unique Chicago flair, radiating energy and passion while showcasing his lyrical prowess and innovative creativity. The impeccable production work of Swim Team Music breathes life into his tracks, further amplifying their impact.

Have you always wanted to be a musician?
Yes

When did you get the song writing bug?
I started getting the urge to write music when I was 15 years old

How would you describe your sound?
I would describe my sound as “New Age Pop & B” – a pop feel influenced by R&B the type of music that just makes you feel emotions.

Why do you think people resonate with your music?
I make music about life experiences. I’m a musical therapist of sorts. I have breakup songs, party songs, love songs, why you cheat on me songs and more.

Which artist’s music and/or performance, past or present, inspires you today? 
The Weeknd, Justin Bieber, Harry Styles and Usher

Your new single ‘365’ is about to be released! Describe its origin and evolution.
I was in the studio reflecting on how the world has changed in the last few years and I wanted to remind others, including myself, that we have to get out and live life have fun go crazy. It’s 365 days in the year make them count.

Is there an EP or Album on the drawing board?
Oh yeah, most definitely an EP after I drop a couple more singles.

Any tours or events coming up soon? What are you looking forward to, and what can the fans expect?
I have a few shows coming up in Vegas and Chicago. I’m looking forward to 3230 Ent. College Tour 2023-2024

If you could perform with any music artist, Alive or Dead, who would you choose? And why?
Prince, because the man is very talented. He can play every instrument, his shows were amazing; all the girls loved Prince lol and I love his style.

What are your long-term aspirations as a music artist and how are you progressing towards them?
I would like to do a world tour. I would also like to partner with the right record label to take my music to new heights.  I feel like I’m going down the right track. I’m surrounded by a hard-working crew, Swim Team, and I believe that we can make it all happen.

With that in mind, what piece of advice would you give to an artist starting out?
Be yourself don’t change your vision but don’t be afraid to grow, and be consistent.

What is the best thing about performing to a live audience? What’s been the career highlight so far?
Just seeing their reactions and emotions. It’s amazing, you get a feeling like no other. I would perform everyday if I could. My first time getting booked to perform in Vegas was absolutely incredible
