Have you always wanted to be a musician? When did you start writing music?
I have been writing music for as long as I could competently articulate myself. I’ve been singing and writing songs from around seven years old. Also according to my mother I’ve been singing as long as I could talk.

Which music did you grow up listening to? How has it influenced your current style?
I’ve grown up listening to a variety of music but mostly as a child I would sing hymns and other gospel songs. I would listen to my older sister singing to Whitney and Patti Labelle etc. Also, she would listen to more of the likes of Monica and Brandy and so forth. Away from home I will listen to rap and R&B but there were so many different styles of music that I have been influenced by I wouldn’t know where to start to begin to explain.

How would you describe your sound?
Energetic and vibrant.

Why do you think people resonate with your music?
I tried to look for concepts that cover things that most people go through and a lot of it also comes from personal experiences.

Your new single has just been released! Describe its origin and evolution.
I got ready during quarantine and during that time there was nowhere to go, so during telephone conversations with close friends we would speak about previous experiences where we went about. As obviously the idea of me writing a song about getting ready to go out was born.
Well Corona didn’t seem to start the works for me during the quarantine period I received some boots from Taggerty. I picked one that was in titled bouncy bouncy and then began to looked in my book of concepts and I remembered the idea that I had about writing a song to get ready to go out so I just got creative and started to work with my imagination.

Do you have any more new music in the works?
When I write music every day so as long as there is a consistent and passionate about what I love and there will always be new music.

Do you have any shows/tours coming up? What are you looking forward to, and what can the fans expect?
Yes I do have a few things in the works but as soon as the restrictions lifted all the information will be available on all my social media platforms.

.

If you could perform with any music artist, Alive or Dead, who would you choose? And why?
I’ve always wanted to do a tune with Vybz Kartel, as he is titled as the World Boss and I would like to ascertain a similar title.

What’s next for you in the near future?
I will be continuing to work and build on my catalogue and when I feel that the time is right I will release one of my projects most likely in the form of an EP.

What are your longer-term aspirations?
I intend to grow as a musician and continue to enjoy my journey as I have been doing. I have a true and undeniable passion for music there is a key part of who I am as a person music is my therapy and I have high faith in my ambition to be one of the worlds greatest artists.

.

.

What is the best thing about performing to a live audience?
It’s nice to connect with people who enjoy my music as it’s like watching what I had anticipated when I was writing it for people to be feeling certain parts of the music and laughing when I make certain jokes. I truly do appreciate it when people understand the efforts that are put into my wordplay. I love the vibe of the people and to just really have fun and enjoy myself alongside them as it’s always in my nature to put on a show.
