Have you always wanted to be a musician? When did you get the song writing bug?
For as long as I can remember I have loved singing, and performing. When I was 7 years old I started learning violin and I went onto play it for 10 years as I just loved being in a musical community. I writing songs when I was about 13 and haven’t stopped since!

How would you describe your sound? Why do you think people resonate with your music?
I would describe my sound as modern country, mixing authentic songwriting with contemporary production. I’m influenced by a variety of artists such as Shania Twain, Lady A, Morgan Wallen, Taylor Swift and I think my music reflects this.
I’ve always written songs based on my own life story and experiences, and am not afraid to be vulnerable with what I share so I think people resonate with my music because they’re able to relate to the things I’ve gone through.

Which artist’s music and/or performance, past or present, inspires you today?
Shania Twain, Lady A, Taylor Swift, Blake Rose, Morgan Wallen, Kelsea Ballerini, Megan Moroney, Luke Combs, The Chicks

Your new single ‘A Little Part Of Me’ has just been released.   Describe its origin and evolution.
A Little Part of Me was written in Nashville a few years ago. I was hung up on a previous love and wondered if I would ever truly be able to get over him. I had the fear that time may not heal all wounds and was battling those thoughts whilst freshly dating someone new at the same time. I wrote the song with my co-writer Adam Wood very quickly that day and soon after we recorded in Nashville also with a producer named Aaron Farmer.

Is there an EP or Album on the drawing board?
Yes, I have written so many songs in the last few years that I am looking forward to releasing. I’d love to compile them onto EPs!

Any plans to tour Australia?  What are you looking forward to, and what can the fans expect?
Majority of my touring at the moment is within West Australia but I’d love to make it over to the East Coast for shows soon.

If you could perform with any music artist, Alive or Dead, who would you choose? And why?
Taylor Swift – she’s influenced me so much as both a writer and musician over the years and was a huge part of what led me into the world of country music. To perform with her would be the highest of honours!

Do you have any long-term aspirations as a music artist?
To keep doing this for as long as I can! I’d love to release an album, tour internationally and record more in Nashville.

What is the best thing about performing to a live audience? What’s been the career highlight so far?
The best thing about performing to a live audience is feeding off their energy in the moment. I always want to give and leave audiences with a joyful experience so I try to make it as much about them as I possibly can and have fun with it!
Being selected as the only West Australian to perform on stage at The Muster Festival alongside top national/international acts was an incredible experience.
