Have you always wanted to be a musician? When did you get the song writing bug?
I’ve been singing ever since I was a kid! Doing the classic school showcases, choir etc never really writing music but always being the one performing on stage. After I finished school, music kind of left my life. I then found a producer in 2021 and we gelled really well, collaborated, made our first track and the rest is history!
How would you describe your sound? Why do you think fans resonate with your Music?
Honestly it really depends on the track itself. I love to tell a story and by having my music be worlds apart but in the same vein, I’m able to tiptoe through genres. If i had to describe it, it would be Indie, Electronic Future-Pop. I think everyone, even subconsciously, is looking for relativity. By sharing my experiences through a conceptual world, I am able to build that story and walk through that world with my audience but together, hand-in-hand. So really peoples resonance to my music isn’t a straight path eg, if they don’t relate to it as deeply, it’s the concept, the music itself or the surface level meaning, it is moldable to one’s own experiences.
Which artist’s music and/or performance, past or present, inspires you today?
My biggest influences to date would be BROODS, Benee, Troye Sivan, Trove Lo, FLETCHER, Vera Blue! Honestly I could list them all but we would be here forever! All these artists have helped shape my sound whether it be lyrically or sonically, I’ve taken inspiration from all these artists to make something that’s completely my own.
Your new ‘Upside Down’ has just been released (Jan 19 th )! Describe its origin and evolution.
Upside Down is the first song I ever made with Dominik Dale. Its meaning stems from forbidden crushes in the LGBTQIA or even reciprocated relationships that eventually get swept under the rug. It was written back in 2021 and also explores the rugged emotions of perfection (as detailed in my debut ‘Back To The Future’) and after perfection has been ripped away. Starting off as more of a guitar piece it eventually became what it is today!
Is there an EP or Album on the drawing board?
There is something very exciting coming up in March of this year! Over the past 6 months, I’ve slowly started building a world, now with the release of ‘Upside Down’, all the pieces have been laid and now it’s time for the big reveal so, stay tuned!
Any tours or events coming up soon? What are you looking forward to, and what can the fans expect?
We do have some things in the works but, nothing I can keep my promises on just yet! I’m looking forward to performing honestly, bringing what I’ve built to the live scene, in person, in front of people that support me is what i’m the most excited for!

If you could perform with any music artist, Alive or Dead, who would you choose? And why?
It would have to be BUZZ. She’s a newer artist but has been in the industry for quite a while. Her music is INCREDIBLE! She has a way with sounds and everything about her work is amazing so, performing with her would be so insane.
What are your long-term aspirations as a music artist and how are you progressing towards them?
My long term aspirations is to create conceptual work that translates into the live scene along with listening to a record itself. So far, taking as much as we can and packing it into the space we’ve got, eventually I’d like to create a show that immerses people into it and the only way to do that is build every aspect of ‘ESHAAN’ as i can from the audience, to the physicality of my conceptual world itself.
With that in mind, what piece of advice would you give to an artist starting out?
Always stick to your guns, you know what is going to work for you best. Everyone around you is there to amplify your voice so, do what you think works for you and your career. Always highly regard feedback but at the same time, be able to make the calls on what works best for you.
What is the best thing about performing to a live audience? What’s been the career highlight so far?
Just them cheering honestly! I get so nervous before a set but having them there cheering me on puts my mind at ease a bit! My biggest career highlight was performing my very first show alongside a bunch of amazing LGBTQIA+ artists at Mardi Gras Fair Day in 2921. That was crazy, it was my first show and was in front of a sea of people but, they were my community so they supported me till the end!
