Have you always wanted to be a musician? When did you get the song writing bug?
I have always wanted to be an artist and performer. I started songwriting in middle school but didn’t really take it seriously until after college. I found songwriting as a way to express myself creatively, especially through lyrics.

How would you describe your sound? Why do you think people resonate with your music?
My sound is singer/songwriter with pop, folk, and country roots. I try to tell a story with my music and think people resonate that way.

Which artist’s music and/or performance, past or present, inspires you today?
I really enjoy SIA’s first few albums before titanium. That music really inspired me and let me know you can experiment as a songwriter and artist. I also really enjoy Taylor Swift and how her songwriting can still hold up no matter the genre. I’m also inspired by Dodie, Gabrielle Aplin, Ingrid Michaelson, Joni Mitchell, Ingrid Andress, Sasha Sloan, Meghan Trainor and many more.

Your new single has just been released. Describe its origin and evolution.
I love writing a holiday single every year and this year definitely felt very different due to the pandemic and quarantine etc. I then starting thinking about the upcoming holiday season and how different it will be, almost dark in a sense. I then had the idea for Christmas Candlelight. The idea of always finding the light in the darkness. Holidays might feel dark and cancelled in a sense this year, and I hope this song reminds others of the importance of the season and what truly matters most.

Is there an EP or Album on the drawing board?
Yes, there is an EP in the making. 2021 is when it is happening for sure!

Any tours or events coming up soon? What are you looking forward to, and what can the fans expect?
With the pandemic and all. I think I am going to be diving into livestream concerts more. At first I didn’t want to do a live stream because it was uncharted territory but it actually is very exciting and I see something happening like that in 2021. Hopefully by Summer an outdoor performance would be nice!

If you could perform with any music artist, Alive or Dead, who would you choose? And why?
Oh my gosh, wow this is a tough one. I think most people would expect me to say Taylor Swift, but I think I would have to go old school and say Judy Garland.

Do you have any long-term aspirations as a music artist?
Yes long term, I don’t want to be just a music artist, I want to be a performer. I want to do acting and music.
