It has been a decade since Australian electronic dance pioneers THE PRESETS were introduced to wider audiences through their wildly successful 2008 album Apocalypso. Instantly recognisable anthems such as “My People”, “Talk Like That” and “This Boys In Love” earned the boys certified triple platinum status and won them six ARIA Awards.

After taking a six-year break following from 2012’s critically acclaimed Pacifica,THE PRESETS are set to storm back on to the Australian music scene with their highly anticipated, fourth studio album, Hi Viz.

The boys announced their return in spectacular fashion late last year by dropping the first taste of new music with the urgent “Do What You Want”. They followed this up with the sweeping “14U+14ME” and most recent single “Downtown Shutdown”.

Hi Viz is finally set to officially drop on June 1^st. This will be followed by a national tour, taking in cities such as Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Canberra, Wollongong, Sydney, Brisbane and the Gold Coast, across the month of June.

AMNplify’s Amy Smith caught up with one half of the duo, Julian Hamilton, to discuss the new record, lessons learned through collaborating with other artists and what goes into creating a phenomenal live experience. Get your ears around this informative conversation!
