Have you always wanted to be a musician? When did you get the song writing bug?
I always wanted to sing.. and I always wanted to be around music.
I never really considered that it could be in a professional format, but I knew that music was a part of me in one way or another.
Growing up I would write little tunes and melodies with the piano and singing around the house, but it wasn’t until my singing teacher encouraged me to begin writing a song that I truly started the journey of songwriting.

How would you describe your sound? Why do you think fans resonate with your music?
My sound is constantly evolving.
My early releases had an emotional ballad or folk feel, however more recently, I have been moving to a pop/indie pop style of music.
The evolution has allowed me to grow my artistry and experiment in whole new ways, which I find so exciting.

Which artist’s music and/or performance, past or present, inspires you today? 
I have always been incredibly inspired by songwriters that capture you in a picturesque world of storytelling. Artists like Leonard Cohen, Tracey Chapman or Joni Mitchell create so much power through their words and it completely inspires me.

Your new single ‘Insane For A Moment’ is about to be released! Describe its origin and evolution. 
It is! On 30th June 2023, I am releasing my pop single, ‘Insane For A Moment’.
The song began one day when I was playing around with some percussive sounds and the track began to form with lively tribal drumming sounds.
I wanted to capture that feeling of being trapped in an anxious loop.. the polar feelings of wanting to move forward but the fear holding you back that rush through you like a wave in a single moment.
The song features haunting layers of vocals that slide off into the abyss, which are overlaid by lead vocals that tell the story of the song.
This track is a lot more energetic and experimental than the previous songs that I have released and I am really looking forward to seeing how it is received.

Is there an EP or Album on the drawing board?
Definitely.. there is an album on the drawing board. It’s a little way off yet, but I can’t wait for it to unfold.

If you could perform with any music artist, Alive or Dead, who would you choose? And why? 
I feel like it would be really special to perform around a campfire with Jose Gonzales.. The intimate feel of his music, with a crackling fire would just be magic and I feel I could learn a lot!

What are your long-term aspirations as a music artist and how are you progressing towards them?
Music for me, has always been an exploration of creativity and of what’s possible and I have been blown away at every step with how people from all across the world have responded to my music.
I’ve had technical goals of growing my skills in production of my own music, and my previous couple of songs have been fully self-produced. I feel that I can grow so much more in this space and look forward to seeing where it takes me.
Outside of that, my ultimate goal is to connect to everyday human emotions and to create music that resonates with listeners in a profound way. I feel that music is the most raw form of expression that connects people and I hope to be able to help someone just a little bit with expressing my own experiences.

With that in mind, what piece of advice would you give to an artist starting out? 
My advice for artists starting out, is just to start.
You grow through experience and you will find that so many opportunities and lessons present themselves to you through the process of beginning your journey in music.
