Have you always wanted to be a musician? When did you get the song writing bug?
Music has been a significant part of my life since I was a child, and from the age of six, I knew this is what I wanted to do. I began writing music at the age of 20, inspired by a challenging period in my life, during which I discovered that composing lyrics served as a powerful therapeutic outlet, helping me navigate through this tough period.

How would you describe your sound? Why do you think fans resonate with your music?
I want my music to touch people because it’s real and true to life. My style is hard to put in a box, but it’s meant to uplift and inspire. I hope folks can turn to my music when times get tough. I think people enjoy my music as it is relatable to a wide audience.

Which artist’s music and/or performance, past or present, inspires you today?
I deeply admire Billie Eilish for her authentic and relatable music. She’s a driven artist with a broad connection to her audience. Billie’s authenticity has had a significant impact on how women in music are perceived, and inspiring young girls around the world. I find this powerful. Old classics will always be on rotation on my playlists, if you haven’t heard my song you can tell I am a sucker for classic elements in music. I love a big crescendo, strong vocals and a strong guitar lead. From age 8-15 the only music I would sing was Adele and this was a deep love that carries on to today. She is ultimately my biggest idol.

Your new single ‘STOP” has just been released! Describe its origin and evolution.
‘STOP’ is a very important track for me, not only is it my first single, but it is a deeply personal song which is drawn from a really difficult and personal experience I had in my life. When I was 19-20 years old I was in a really bad place. I had just been through an extremely awful experience and found myself severely lonely and left badly hurt. ‘STOP’ is about this journey and the mental and physical battles that I was overcoming during this time. This song has helped me heal and move onto the next chapter.

Is there an EP or Album on the drawing board?
So much cool stuff coming your way from Lara Villani!  I will be releasing new music. I’m currently working towards releasing a number of singles in 2024 which I am so excited about.

Any tours or events coming up soon? What are you looking forward to, and what can the fans expect?
I am looking forward to performing soon.

If you could perform with any music artist, Alive or Dead, who would you choose? And why?
For me this is an easy answer. I have one Idol that has shaped the way I sing and perform and her name is Adele. Not only is she very talented however she is so relatable and so funny on stage.

What are your long-term aspirations as a music artist and how are you progressing towards them?
In my long-term aspirations as a music artist, my main goal is to continue creating music that not only resonates with a large audience but also brings me immense joy and fulfilment. I believe that the essence of being an artist is to connect with people through one’s art, and I am committed to this purpose throughout my career. I aspire to meet and collaborate with other talented and creative individuals within the music industry.

With that in mind, what piece of advice would you give to an artist starting out?
For someone starting out in the music industry, I’d suggest four simple things. First, stay motivated. The music world can be tough, so you need to keep pushing and stay dedicated to your craft. Second, don’t be afraid to try new things. Being innovative and trying out new ideas can lead to exciting music. Third, listen to advice from people who’ve been in the industry. Whether it’s positive or critical, it’s all valuable. Lastly, grab every opportunity that comes your way. The music business is full of surprises, and taking advantage of chances can lead to growth and success. These are things that I am currently following in my life.

What is the best thing about performing to a live audience? What’s been the career highlight so far?
The best thing about performing in front of a live audience is connecting with the people that are in front of you. Having your music resonate with others is such a cool feeling. Personally I haven’t sung my original tracks on stage yet, however am looking forward to this next chapter in my career.
