Hey Lizzie! Congratulations on the release of your new single Bubble! How did you celebrate the release?
Thank you so much! I celebrated my graduation for my Masters on the same day so it was filled with a lot of love and fun with my family and friends. It was a super wholesome day, definitely my favourite of the releases so far.

What is your favourite lyric from Bubble?
“Theres a perfect picture painted in my mind, its like if Picasso pursued that playboy life” – I think this is a super fun and cheeky lyric and I love using alliteration in my lyric writing to give a cool flow.

Can you tell us more about what this song means to you and how it ties in with your ASD diagnosis?
I think the song is about breaking out of your bubble and your shell and letting people in and trusting people. I think I had a lot of trouble with the idea of trusting and letting people get close to me growing up because of my diagnosis and bullying but I have been able push past those issues in my adulthood.

Your sound has evolved a lot in the past few years, what are you most excited about with your newer style?
I feel like my personal style has changed with my own personal listening style, I am heavily influenced by the artists I am loving in the moment. I feel like if I am writing music that I personally enjoy listening to, then I am having fun and that will reflect across to the listeners.

You recently performed at WOMADelaide 2024! Huge congrats, how was that experience for you?
It was the most amazing, incredible experience ever. I was so lucky to be given that opportunity and when I found out id be playing, I started running laps of my house, I was so so excited. It was amazing day, it was a ridiculously hot day but having the massive fans going on stage gave me my little Beyonce moment which was amazing. It is easily the best thing ive done in 2024 and probably one of the highlights of my life. It was amazing.

Do you have any pre performance rituals?
I love to do positive manifestations, It really calms me down in the lead up to a performance because I get quite nervous. Talking myself through how prepared I am and how well the performance is going to go really helps and has always ended up coming true.

What tours and events are coming up? What are you looking forward to, and what can the fans expect?
I will be performing a few times in the next couple of months before I head over to the UK for a while to continue pursuing my music and my career. I am so excited to be working with new people and seeing new venues over there and cant wait to experience it.

Who are your current musical inspirations?
My current musical inspirations are Ariana Grande – her vocal arranging and melody writing is unmatched and I hope to someday be on that level. I am also loving Olivia Dean and Remi Wolf at the moment, I think their songwriting is so clever and well thought out.

We love that you are using your ASD as your personal superpower! Have you faced any challenges in music and life with your diagnosis?
There are always challenges that come with a diagnosis like ASD, my main issue was bullying and making friends when I was quite young. However now that i am surrounding myself with great people I think I am in a really happy place. The music scene is super accepting and welcoming and people want to hear music from all walks of life, if my ASD makes me interesting or helps someone related to my music then that is amazing.

With that in mind, what piece of advice would you give to an artist with ASD starting out?
Don’t hide from it, if you have ASD you truly do have a superpower, my ASD tends to manifest in hyperfixation, I hyperfixate on what I love and I think that leads to great results in my music and my hobbies. Surround yourself with good people and let people know, if they are the right people they will be kind and accepting.

Thank you for your time! Any final thoughts for your fans / people discovering you by reading this?
Thank you so much for supporting me, I am excited to continue to share my journey with you!!!
