Have you always wanted to be a musician? When did you get the song writing bug?
I was always super fascinated with musicians, especially vocalists, from as early as I can remember. It wasn’t until I was 17 that I gained the confidence to try my own hand at writing.
How would you describe your sound? Why do you think people resonate with your music?
I would describe my sound as having a balance between a more aggressive delivery and an honest heartfelt expression. I think people resonate with it because I’m not pretending to be something I’m not, and I have no problem being open and vulnerable.
Which artist’s music and/or performance, past or present, inspires you today?
My three biggest musical influences in life start with Michael Jackson. My dad used to blast his music in the living room when I was a kid. To Bliss n’ Eso as a teenager, seeing they’re live shows were the most exciting and engaging experiences of those years. To most recently J.Cole, to me he represents a big part of where the true heart of Hip Hip culture lies.
Your new single has just been released! Describe its origin and evolutionMyself. Writing music for me is like therapy.
My new song Conflicted started as just a therapy session, I wrote the verses as a way to understand and express a lot of the conflicting emotions I was having at the time. It wasn’t until I shared it with my producers that I felt it was actually something I could turn into a powerful piece of music. When Sarah Hyde sent me the chorus it was like she read my thoughts and emotions perfectly. Her input was the final touch before it was ready to be polished and finalised.
Is there an EP or Album on the drawing board?
I do have a project in the works, I don’t want to say too much right now except stay tuned for some of my finest work.

Any tours or events coming up soon? What are you looking forward to, and what can the fans expect?
I’m playing a show next month in Collingwood with my friend Afterlife, we’ll be delivering something worthy of the hard times Melbourne has been through. While also just aiming to make it a fun night for everyone involved. I’m looking forward to that and all the music I’m gearing up to release.
If you could perform with any music artist, Alive or Dead, who would you choose? And why?
I would love to share a stage with The Kid Laroi, his energy is infectious and his stage presence is second to none. I feel like I’d give him a run for his money though.
Do you have any long-term aspirations as a music artist?
Absolutely, being an artist is a lifelong journey and I aim to do as much with it as I possibly can.
What is the best thing about performing to a live audience? What’s been the career highlight so far?
The best thing about performing to a live audience is feeling the push and pull of energy, giving it and receiving it back. It’s all love.
Finally, a few questions for some quick answers –
FAVOURITE:
Album – Running on Air, Bliss n’ Eso
Artist – J.Cole
Movie – There’s too many too choose from but my two favourite fictional stories are Avatar: The Last Airbender and Game Of Thrones (but not the last season, HBO ruined it and I’m still waiting for George R. R. Martin to heal that scar
with the release of the last book.)
Place to visit – Vancouver, Canada
Venue to play – Yorkshire Hotel, Abbotsford, Melbourne (shoutout to Tom)
Food – Thin n’ crispy pepperoni pizza with a bbq sauce base.
Drink – Strawberry milk
Person in History – I haven’t read enough books to answer this properly but at the moment my two biggest life mentors are Humble The Poet and Jay Shetty. My next book to read is Nelson Mandela’s autobiography.
Tattoo – My favourite is my first tattoo, a treble clef on my arm with a Bliss n’ Eso bar wrapped around it. Some close friends paid for it as a 21st birthday gift.

There is no size that fits all. But once in a while, a poignant song is released that encapsulates a universal struggle that is shared deeply by many—and this particular single is one of them. For rising Melbourne-based Hip-hop Wonder Mythic, momentum is the name of the game. After releasing ‘Diamonds’ and ‘Driving Through The City’ during his back-to-back collaboration with R&B prodigy Triple C, the man and the myth is back for his third single of the year, featuring Melbourne Pop Artist Sarah Hyde in his most soul-baring single to date, ‘Conflicted’, now available on all streaming platforms!
Written by Mythic and Sarah—with production by Veysigz, mixing by SB90 and mastering by Nicholas Di Lorenzo of Panorama Mastering—’Conflicted’ embraces honesty, vulnerability, and the plethora of emotions and thoughts that makes us human. This well-polished and heart-rending single is released with an equally emotive music video by Dillon Pearce Media, which highlights Mythic’s vocal and emotional range.
“I want people to feel like they know me a little better. I want those that are experiencing the same emotions to know that they’re not alone,” Mythic added.
Aside from establishing himself as one of Melbourne’s steady stage presences, Mythic has also released multiple singles, a solo 10-track mixtape, a collaborative EP, and a debut EP titled ‘Storm’ in 2020—which he graciously
used as a chance to raise money and send support to the NSW bushfire victims. As a brand and as a man, Mythic considers working with various musical talents from classically trained musician-producers to cinematography directors to vocalists of all styles as his biggest career highlight to date.
“Find out what your talents are, use them to create a life for yourself, then give back to your community.”—Mythic
‘Conflicted’ is just one of the many singles that Mythic will be sharing for everyone’s comfort and inspiration, as a way of giving back to the community. He is definitely an artist to watch out for.
