Have you always wanted to be a musician? When did you get the song writing bug?
I think I have! I’ve played guitar since i was 5 when i started training in classical guitar, so I’ve kinda always played music, around aged 10 i was so inspired by Taylor Swift at her speak now tour I tried writing songs, and then started playing my first gigs with my original songs aged 13!

How would you describe your sound? Why do you think people resonate with your music?
Indie pop singer songwriter guitar bops. I guess I try to write relatable lyrics, for me personally, the songs I enjoy the most are ones I can relate to lyrically, but also love catchy bops and bangers, so with my own music I try to do both! I hope others relate to my lyrics too!

Which artist’s music and/or performance, past or present, inspires you today? 
Definitely Taylor Swift, I think she’s definitely the staple of inspiration for many female singer songwriter guitarists around my age, she lit the way for lots of girls all over the world to follow. My favourite band is Little Comets, I love their lyrics and use of guitar sounds. In terms of performance, my favourite live performer is Justin Young, the lead singer of the vaccines, I love his live show.

Your new single “New Wave” has just been released! Describe its origin and evolution. 
This song is quite conversational and literal. I wanted to capture that amazing butterflies type feeling you get when you first notice you might be onto something new with someone, but also don’t really know how to play it out just yet but want to hold onto that excitement for as long as possible.

Any tours or events coming up soon? What are you looking forward to, and what can the fans expect?
I’ll be headlining the Camden Assembly in London on 24th November! it’s my biggest headline show to date and I’m super excited!

How has COVID affected you to date? What have you introduced to balance the losses from missed events?
The headline show has been moved 4 times since April 2020!! I focused mostly in lockdown on writing and releasing my EP, I really missed playing shows but I managed to stay busy and progress my career in other areas!

If you could perform with any music artist, Alive or Dead, who would you choose? And why? 
Gary Lightbody from Snow Patrol! I think he’s amazing!

Do you have any long-term aspirations as a music artist? 
I used to have set goals and dreams but now I more just take everything as it comes, chasing specific goals often made me not appreciate other ones as much, so I just hope to continue doing music as my job forever!

What is the best thing about performing to a live audience? What’s been the career highlight so far?
All of my headline shows have been the most magical evenings of my life, I will remember all of them, especially the first few, forever.
