Have you always wanted to be an artist? When did you get the song writing bug?
I remember this specific moment when I was 6, I learned this theme song of a show I loved and told my dad in the middle of the living room that I want to sing it to him. Since then singing and writing songs and mini stories was a big part of me, always coming to my parents to show them, then growing up I knew that this is who I am and what I want to do in life.

Briefly describe your journey from overseas to Byron Bay, and your musical debut in 2019.
Wow, It’s a long journey to summarize! in 2019 I released my 2 first singles, then I started a band named “Nala Blu” and we released a few songs together until I felt like it’s not working for me and decided to continue solo. for the next 2 years I finished writing my debut album “THE ROAD”, performed by myself as much as I could mainly to get better in front of people and test the songs from the album, it was such a great experience and i learned a lot along the way. Then in 2023 in the middle of the recordings of the album I decided that I wanted to jump into the water and try my first overseas DIY tour and went to London.
It was an amazing experience and I knew that I wanted to come back and continue my journey overseas. my original plan was actually coming back to the UK but then in one of my gigs there I met my partner Josh, who’s an Aussie and since then we were inseparable so the minute that I finished recording “THE ROAD” I packed my bags and moved to Australia basically. It was almost a year and a half ago and now I’m here to stay!

How would you describe your sound? Why do you think fans resonate with your music?
Good question, I think I’m still trying to figure out what my sound actually is.
I always say it’s a mix of indie folk and soul. I kind of hate defining music, I feel like it’s something that kind of changes all the time as I’m changing as a person. In some songs I feel the need to be super emotional while playing the piano like in “Alone”, sometimes I find myself a bit more playful like in “Will I ever” and sometimes I just want to grab my guitar and go full on pink floyd like in “Lost” for example, but I think what really sticks with me is the need to tell a specific story through my songs.
I hope that people who listen to my music can really connect to the story from their perspective.

Which artist’s music and/or performance, past or present, inspires you today?
So many. but I’ll go with Gigi Perez. I discovered her music not long ago and I just love every song she released. It’s so good. I think I mainly get inspired by her simplicity and authenticity. You don’t need so much noise and a crazy outgoing look to be a great successful musician.

Your Debut Album ‘The Road’ has just been released! What’s it all about? Describe its origin and evolution.
A few years back, I found myself going through a really hard breakup. It was that kind of heartbreak that although it was really hard to let go you know it’s for the best.
I didn’t know who I am by myself, and basically where am I going, who I want to be
So I started writing songs.
With the first few words, that became the first Chapter of the album –
“There is no one way to choose, there is no wrong way, nothing to lose
Just follow the sun”
I realized I’m creating something bigger, I’m writing the journey I’m about to go through, healing my heart, trying to find myself, without knowing where it will lead to.This is how THE ROAD was born.
I wrote THE ROAD as a book with chapters, so every song and every piece of it is connected. As I was searching for who I was on my own it basically became a metaphor for this endless search of who you are, the search for wholesomeness or happiness, because it really never ends.
It made me realize that everything that I’m looking for, is already within me.

What are the signature tracks on the album, and which are your favorites to play live?
I feel like Lost, Alone and Follow the sun are the signature tracks and I love to play them live the most.

What tours and events are coming up? What are you looking forward to, and what can the fans expect?
Currently working on an East Coast “THE ROAD” tour, soon to be announced :)
Right now you can find me gigging around the Byron Shire.

If you could perform with any music artist, Alive or Dead, who would you choose? And why?
Ummm I’ll probably say Coldplay of the early 2000.

What are your long-term aspirations as a music artist and how are you progressing towards them?
I see myself touring, making more music and sharing it to the world. kind of simple as that :)

With that in mind, what piece of advice would you give to an artist starting out?
Stop listening to all the noise around and just stick with what you want to bring. Don’t try to be something you’re not, take chances and enjoy every piece and every step of your journey.

What is the best thing about performing to a live audience? What’s been the career highlight so far?
Their reaction. When you can really see through and feel the people in front of you, It’s kind of like you share a conversation, sometimes it’s like a mirror for both sides and the energy we’re sharing is something I cannot explain. This is why I love performing live so much, most of the time It’s pure magic to me.

Here are three general questions your fans will find interesting about you:
What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done?  I ran a half marathon when I was 18 !
What is the one topic you can talk about for hours?  oh god, dogs or the meaning of life
What is the thing you like most about yourself?  Maybe that I always believe in good. Everything happens for a good reason, shitty situations are always a lesson and an opportunity to evolve. It saved me so many times through rough times.
