Have you always wanted to be a musician?
I’ve always had a strong connection to music, and it’s been a way for me to express myself since I can remember. It started as a passion for listening, but eventually, I felt the need to create my own sounds.

When did you get the songwriting bug?
It really hit me in my teens. I started experimenting with lyrics and beats, trying to express emotions I wasn’t always able to talk about openly. Once I realized how much power music had to connect and communicate, it became a true obsession.

How would you describe your sound?
I blend genres too—alternative hip-hop, electronic, and soul feel closest to home. My sound is definitely eclectic.

Why do you think people resonate with your music?
I think people can connect to the raw vulnerability in my lyrics. There’s a sense of storytelling where listeners can see parts of themselves in the songs.

Which artist’s music and/or performance, past or present, inspires you today?
Past: Prince—his versatility and innovation blew me away. He made soul, rock, and funk feel limitless.
Present: Kendricks Super Bowl half time show!!! Just wow.

Your new single ‘Say It’ has just been released! Describe its origin and evolution.
It started as an exploration of longing and desire, but I wanted to tell the story from a playful perspective. It’s lighter compared to the rest of the mixtape, like a break in the emotional weight of the project. The alien-human dynamic just felt like a fun metaphor for that magnetic attraction.

Your mixtape ‘Cobra’ is set for release on Feb 21, what are you most excited about the release?
I’m excited for people to hear how the mixtape unfolds, from the deep emotional tracks to the more experimental and lighter ones like “Say It.” It’s an audio journey, and I can’t wait for listeners to experience that.

Any tours or events coming up soon?
Yes! We’re planning the east coast tour for May, and in the meantime, there are two shows coming up:
We are currently planning an east coast tour in May, but in the meantime I have 2 shows coming up :) If you want to come see me here is the info x

What can the fans expect?
They can expect high-energy performances with a lot of emotional highs and lows. The mix of live beats and storytelling is something I’m really excited about bringing to the stage.

If you could perform with any music artist, alive or dead, who would you choose? And why?
There’s so many incredible artists I would love to share the stage with. I’d love to perform with Prince, just to see his artistry firsthand. His stage presence, ability to switch between genres seamlessly, and sheer musical genius would be incredible to witness.

What are your long-term aspirations as a music artist and how are you progressing towards them?
I want to continue pushing the boundaries of sound, blending genres in new ways, and growing as an artist. My focus is to build deeper connections with my audience while staying true to the creative journey. Each project gets me closer to that goal.

What piece of advice would you give to an artist starting out?
Trust your voice and your unique perspective. It’s easy to get caught up in trends or what’s popular, but authenticity will always resonate with people more than trying to fit into a mold.

What is the best thing about performing to a live audience?
The energy exchange is incredible. Seeing people react to something you created is an experience that words can’t fully capture. It’s the ultimate validation of your work.

What’s been the career highlight so far?
Honestly, every new release feels like a big highlight, but opening for Macy Gray for a sold out Enmore Theatre show was surreal, such an incredible experience sharing the stage with one of the greats.

Finally, a few quick-fire answers!
