Stories Through Storms.

How did the band come together? Where did it all begin?
Stories Through Storms began about 11 years ago. It’s gone through a couple of changes and different lineups, but it still operates with the same passion and drive it had in the beginning. I was originally a guitar player, but I desperately wanted to sing. I got together with a couple of friends to jam, and instead of bringing my guitar, I brought a mic—and here we are all this time later.

Briefly describe your journey to date.
This band has lived a life all its own. From breakups to insane sold-out shows, it’s been a constant rollercoaster, but the current lineup feels like the best fit. All of the guys in this band are really getting after it, and we’re making it a point to treat this band not only as a business but as a career.

How would you describe your sound? Why do you think fans resonate with your
music?
Dynamic and explosive. We want these songs to strike a nerve—whether that’s anger, sadness, or joy. We’re seeking a chemical reaction. Our sound has evolved like most bands do, but with the big lineup change we’ve had, our past discography covers a lot of different eras. I think people resonate with our music because the lyrics have always been very honest. I like to write about things that are real in my life. I try to inject as much of my personal experience as I can, so listening to these songs is kind of like meeting someone for the first time. I’m a very honest person—sometimes a little too honest— but I know who I am and what I want out of life. I always want to leave that impression on people, and I want the songs to do the same.

.

.

Which artist’s music and/or performance inspires you today?
This is such a hard question because there are so many: Slipknot, Bullet For My Valentine, Linkin Park, Motionless In White, Ice Nine Kills, Northlane, Beartooth—the list doesn’t end.

Your latest single ‘Fade’ has just been released! What’s it all about? Describe its
origin and evolution.
Fade is the first track I’ve ever written starting on piano. I don’t even really know how to play piano, so I was just searching for a progression that felt emotional. It was quite the adventure. I wanted to try something different and go back to the roots of how amazing rock songs used to be written. The song took on a life of its own very quickly. I honestly wasn’t sure what the lyrics were about at first—it was just coming from this place of feeling lost at sea. That’s the image I kept seeing. As it started to take shape, I realized it was a letter to my friends, my family, and the people who support this band: If I’m gone too long—from home, from your lives, from music—please don’t forget about me. Please always be the light when I’m lost at sea.

Since your last album was in 2017, is there an album on the drawing board?
This industry is an ever-changing monster, and while I think we’d all love to do a full length, it has to make sense for us. We’re in a huge growth phase, and we’ll make that decision when it feels right. For now, focusing on singles is the best way to keep pushing forward without wasting anyone’s resources. But we will be releasing a lot of music this year—currently planning a song every couple of months!

What tours and events are coming up? What are you looking forward to, and what
can fans expect?
We’re going to be on the road very, very aggressively this year. We’ve spent a lot of time focusing on the studio and visual side of things, and now it’s time to hit the gas. We recently signed with a booking agency here in America, and we plan on being out as much as possible in 2026.

If you could perform with any music artist, alive or dead, who would you choose
and why?
Easy answer: Ozzy Osbourne. The loss of the Prince of Darkness shook the foundation of this whole genre. Anyone who got to be involved in that man’s legacy should consider themselves blessed. I mean—he’s the freakin’ Prince of Darkness. Who else would you want to share a stage with?

What are your long-term aspirations as a music artist, and how are you
progressing toward them?
We want this to be our lives. Everyone in this band wants this to be our job. We don’t want normality—we embrace the struggle and are excited to face the challenges ahead. I think this next year will be a huge push toward what we’re chasing.

What piece of advice would you give to an artist starting out?
If your gut is telling you something, stand your ground and follow your instincts. There’s a lot of venom in this industry, and too many artists get ripped away from the work they’re proud of. Keep your head up, take the punches, and never stop pushing forward.

What is the best thing about performing to a live audience? What’s been the
career highlight so far?
The energy at a rock show is unlike anything in the world. Whether it’s 10 people or 10,000, there’s a part of you that wants to bring everything you have to the stage and leave it all out there. It’s an incredible feeling knowing someone chose to spend their night watching your band pour out your souls. Playing shows in the Kansas City area brings us joy every single time. This band started around there, and the foundation is still so strong. It keeps growing, and we love ending a tour there knowing we’re going to have an absolute blast with everyone.
