Off the back of his well-received single “Got It Wrong” Jovi Skyler the Sydney-based singer/songwriter is back with his latest release “Never Wanted” and brace yourself, it’s a rip-roaring ride of punk psychedelia.
Jovi Skyler is one of those artists that isn’t satisfied with just wearing one hat. Along with writing music the artist is also determined to express his music and creativity in genre-altering ways. He pursues his music with unbridled passion and grit exposing the darker corners of society with themes of alienation often simmering in his songs. “Never Wanted” continues in this same vein as a throwback to the grunge, punk sound of the early 1990s. In “Never Wanted” Jovi has crafted a song that is searingly raw, featuring murky guitar riffs, thumping off-beat drums and a chorus that erupts from deep within.
