Konradd releases a refreshing take on indie-electronic music with his newest single ‘It’s Too Much.” Featuring the vocal stylings of the talented CARZi, the single displays that there is a true beauty in musical simplicity, transporting any listener into a peaceful headspace where ‘It’s Too Much’ is the easy-to-listen-to background music.
‘It’s Too Much’ follows an indie-electronic genre styling, but the addition of soul elements gives it an added level of depth that shows off Konradd’s creative spirit. CARZi’s vocals are soft and breathy with a unique tone that adds to the soul stylings of the single. Her singing style perfectly parallels the lyrics and the meaning behind them, effectively communicating the sensual desperation motivating ‘It’s Too Much.’
Despite utilising an array of musical samples, the instrumental backing up CARZi’s vocals in ‘It’s Too Much’ is simple, boasting bouncy chords and a funky drum rhythm that is easy to lose yourself within. The modesty of the instruments also allows the vocals to shine at the forefront of the song, as well as the occasional instrumental solo which puts the ‘fun’ in the word ‘funky.’
“When you stand close to me, it’s too much, I can’t help myself”

When paired with the breathy, sensual vocals of CARZi, the lyrics to Konradd’s ‘It’s Too Much’ are a match made in heaven. CARZi perfectly communicates the desperate confession of attraction that is painted by the lyrics. ‘It’s Too Much’ is composed in a style that can be interpreted in all corners of the artistic world. When listening to the song, I can automatically picture contestants on ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ doing a passionate contemporary routine, spelling out the lyrics and the emotion behind them with effortless movement.
Konradd’s new single ‘It’s Too Much’ effortlessly creates musical simplicity that showcases the complexities of human emotion and feeling communicated in the lyrics. ‘It’s Too Much’ is just the right amount of everything, and in a world that’s oversaturated and overstimulated with intense electronic music, the indie and soul roots of ‘It’s Too Much’ make it enjoyable and easy to listen to. If you’re a fan of Claptone, SBTRKT or Mount Kimbie, then Konradd and his newest single are perfect for your playlist.
‘It’s Too Much’ will be in Digital Stores on the 29th of October
