When Queens of the Stone Age release a new album, they usually have at least a couple of music videos ready to go around the same time. This time however, they have made us wait (impatiently) for the next clip to come out.
The obvious choice for the next clip was clearly Head Like A Haunted House as the song is so catchy, fun and is impossible to sit still while listening to it. Add in the lyrics; one Liam Lynch – stir the pot a few times and it’s a recipe for one strange, bizarre and oh so fitting clip that is guaranteed to put a smile on your face.
Fans of Joshua Homme will recognise the graphics straight away from The Alligator Hour. The whole video is animated and contains little gems throughout that make you laugh out loud and could not be further removed from the Like Clockwork album if you tried and has Liam Lynch’s stamp firmly plastered over it.
A lot of work has clearly gone into this clip and is one of their best to date – certainly one of the funniest at least and suits the song to an absolute tee. QOTSA have always put in so much effort to create something that people love and this clip is no different. It’s the kind of video that will make you happy if you are in a bad mood or will lift that good mood even higher. Liam Lynch is a genius and I, for one, hope that he produces more of their film clips. The Evil Has Landed perhaps Mr Lynch?
