‘Blacksheep’ begins with a muffled electric intro that breaks into clarity with a short but awesome drum solo. The instrumental is heavy and rough, contrasting her clear and sweet sounding vocals. If you were to separate RinRin’s vocals from ‘Blacksheep’s instrumental, the song could have a completely different sound. However, RinRin’s talent for combining her soft vocals to a heavy-metal, haunting instrumental creates a song that is not only memorable, but extraordinary.

Following in the footsteps of her previous single ‘Seek the Truth,’ ‘Blacksheep’ is a heavy-metal mosh delight. The deep bass and drums emphasise the beat so much that, if you were to experience it in concert, it would reverberate through your entire body like you were a human gong. Amongst this deep and haunting instrumental, RinRin’s vocals are complemented by the addition of a harmony that shows her true power as a vocalist. Even though her vocals are sweet, she has a hidden power in her voice that is only unleashed towards the end of the song, driving home the message behind her lyrics.
