Mel Blu
These guys are a 6 piece band who create the most vaper wavy lush tunes that you definitely want in your ear holes. Oscar Sharah and Luke Gerber write and produce the songs. They create a melancholic feel throughout their music, definitely worth a listen. Or 10.
.
EILIDH.
This girl’s writing and voice, Ahhh ma gahd. If you want a good ol’ cry, give this girly a listen. I guarantee you will connect with these songs of hers.
.
The Northern Folk.
These guys took my breath away when I saw them at the Brighton up bar. First of all, I thought they were magicians from how all 10 of them fit on the stage but still looked so comfortable and secondly, they are crazy talented individuals. One of their songs made me cry by how beautiful Georgia Currie sang. Goosebump worthy.
.
Bread Club
Bread Club are a three piece disco/funk group from all around Sydney who put on high energy gigs! They’re worth a listen. Criminal Mind has gotta be my favourite.
.
CLEWS.
Cool. These girls are the definition of cool. Seeing these girls at the Landsdowne blew me away and really inspired me. These two sisters write banging tunes and play them just as amazing, and boy they don’t lie about sister harmonies. Hearing those live send shivers down my spine every time.

Sydney-based electro-pop artist Abby Bella May has just revealed her striking second single ‘Care’ – produced and mixed by Oscar Sharah at Wonderland Avenue Studios, Sydney.
Taking cues from the likes of staple influences Billie Eilish, Meg Mac and Odette, ‘Care’ opens with swirling synths, gentle flickers of guitar and the endearing vocals of May. Brooding and meticulously arranged harmonies weave their way into the arrangement, before the track gradually builds with its subtle yet apt rhythmic section, of which holds the dreamy cut together till its end.
May describes the motivation behind ‘Care’: “’Care’ is a song about loving those you love, unconditionally. I think if you truly do care about someone, those feelings of endearment shouldn’t be subjective”.
Debut single ‘Blush’ was released earlier in 2019 and picked up organic support from tastemakers triple j Unearthed. May finds inspiration in writing from fictional stories to real life accounts that stem from love, loss, grief and relationship struggles. If it’s something she feels strongly enough about, she’ll write about it.
Over the coming year, Abby Bella May plans to continue writing and releasing new music, as well as perform more live shows.
