The Enmore Theatre was buzzing and filled with excited fans. There were fans outside standing in front of the theatre sign and posing for pictures with the band’s name in the background. The Rollings Stones may not be actually playing tonight’s show, but the crowd sure gave the same energy as if they were. With some of Australia’s best home-grown acts taking the stage to celebrate ‘Exile on Main’ – and of course covering all The Rolling Stones greatest hits.
The concert was a seated affair, and everyone was eager to file in through the door and find their seats just as the support act. Steve Balbi started setting the mood for the night, getting the crowd rowdy with excellent showmanship and banter, engaging with the crowd, and getting them amped up for the show ahead. Everyone in the room was lapping up his performance and singing along with him. However, don’t fear there was still plenty of more rock n’ roll to come.
The crowd sat simmering during the intermission, many sat jiggingly their legs in anticipation about the main show – The Rolling Stones Revue. The moments the lights went down, bright stage lights flickered on revealing Tex Perkins and the star-studded band behind him that consisted of Jak Housden on guitar, Ian Peters on bass, Gordon Rhymeister on drums, Rob Woolfe on Keys, and James Christowski on guitar. Tex’s vocals filled every inch of the room, setting off the crowd into a frenzy of screams and cheering. Just when you think there wasn’t already enough excitement coursing through the room, Tim Rogers dances onto stage with a wide smile and a killer white suit dazzled with diamantes that took shape of religious figures. The crowd finally found their way off the chairs and onto their feet, dancing and singing along. With Tex’s and Tim’s charisma shining on stage, the crowd was enthralled with the performance they were giving.

But how can we forget about the riveting and beautiful Adalita? Whose performance added to the concoction that was already on stage, completing it perfectly. Her dazzling presence captivated the audience as she walked across the stage, high fiving the crowd who milled around the front of the stage. The moment she steps on stage for her songs she captivates everyone’s attention and dazzles the crowd with her strong vocals that fit perfectly with the Stones songs.
Tim simply put it midway through the show “when you get asked to play some Stone songs with your best friends, you can’t say no to that”. The night truly did feel like watching three best friends performing together. They all had the most magnetic and electrifying dynamic together on stage, the chemistry between them was undeniable. Their interactions with one another and the crowd truly displayed their showman and craftsmanship. You can see on their faces how passionate they are about rock n’ roll and of course The Rolling Stones. They performed these songs as if they were their own.
Of course, you cannot forget about the crowd engagement, with men screaming at Tex to take off his shirt to display his hairy chest, to Tim laying down on the stage with his legs up in the air, serenading the audience members in the front row – making a few cheeks blush red from him staring into their eyes.

The show ended on a high, with everyone on stage channelling every last bit of energy into their performance. The moment the music stopped playing, they gathered the entire crew onto the centre of the stage to take a bow. The audience cheered loudly, everyone up on their feet clapping, celebrating the end of the night of great music and even greater performers that got to share the excitement and passion with everyone who came to watch. It was a night that nobody wanted to end, and even the performers got sentimental at the end of the show, taking a moment to thank the audience for coming out tonight, and expressing how much this music and this performance means to them. It is moment like these that breaks down that barrier between artists and the crowd, where everyone comes together to celebrate the love for music and rock n’ roll.
It was an extraordinary night of celebrating The Rolling Stones, and here’s to hoping that The Rolling Stones Revue banding together again soon in honour of another incredible Stones album.

Hot off the back of sold out shows and rave reviews from The Stones’ Sticky Fingers shows, The Rolling Stones Revue presents Exile on Main St. starring, Adalita, Tex Perkins & Tim Rogers. This full-blown rock ‘n’ roll show, proudly presented Empire Touring, is set to raise the roof once more.
The 1972 classic, Exile on Main St., was given a remaster and a deluxe reissue in May 2010. It is regarded as one of the greatest albums in rock ‘n’ roll history and one of the most defining of the Stones’ catalogue. It innovatively wove varying musical genres, instruments and even artists into a compelling rhythmic masterpiece.

“I’m so thrilled to once again be joining my good mates to celebrate this incredibly iconic album in its 50th year!! I cannot wait to get my teeth into this one, it’s going to be an amazing show!” ADALITA
“With the sound of Sticky Fingers still ringing in our ears, my friends have asked me to join them again. This time to climb the mountain that is Exile on Main Street, how can I refuse?” TEX PERKINS
“Them bloody longhaired Rolled Stones have ruined it for all us good hearted folks with morals and underwear. What can a tender boy do huh? Can’t beat em, gonna join em. This malarkey happening again. Shadoobie.” TIM ROGERS
The chemistry between Adalita, Tex & Tim is undeniable.
