“TUSHAR’S voice is very beautiful but what we really love is his unique writing style. It’s rich and relatable, and honestly, it gives us a lot to look forward to.” – Keep Walking Music SPAIN
“TUSHAR’s dreamy vocals are sure to take you on a journey of euphoria. You might be thinking to yourself, ‘This is too good to be true.’ But it’s not. This is the real deal.” – Lefuturewave NETHERLANDS

TUSHAR wants to make you forget with his dreamy dance indie-pop track “Exit Sign”. The new single has been plucked from the field of his other songs from his latest EP, “Arthur and Sadie”. Anyone in need of a mood booster needs to slip this sparkling gem of a song into their playlist as TUSHAR is determined to make you feel good.
The self-described bedroom pop artist from Adelaide has been quietly working away on the songs of “Arthur and Sadie” which were produced by Benny Tamblyn after TUSHAR wrote them at a breakneck speed (in less than nine hours). That energy and momentum is captured in “Exit Sign” as it skips lightly along with a brisk hooky guitar riff and TUSHAR’s mesmerising lo-fi vocals. The melody is bright and invokes feelings of summertime freedom and late-night house parties. Funnily enough “Exit Sign” is based around one aspect of those house parties.

The relatable track captures that ubiquitous instant during a night out when you find yourself alone in the bathroom, suddenly realising in the quiet that you’ve perhaps downed one too many frothies. We’ve all been there and the need to ground ourselves or maybe even run away hence needing an “Exit Sign.” It’s a tongue-in-cheek premise and TUSHAR’s playful lyricism makes this indie-pop tune sparkle. Influences of San Cisco style of songwriting, and the musicality of Two Door Cinema Club peek through but this track reminds of another avant-garde artist’s song Hart’s “Lovers In Bloom”.
You can almost envisage the smile on TUSHAR’s face as he sings “Exit Sign” and it points to his ease at his burgeoning musical style which in three words could be summed up as, imaginative, rousing and infectious.
If you’re looking for something fresh TUSHAR’s new single “Exit Sign” deserves your attention. With its delicate whimsy and hooky melody, this track is a pearler that’s sure to get stuck in your head. And if you’re lucky enough to catch TUSHAR live, you’re in for a treat! He’ll be making his international debut at SXSW, so don’t miss your chance to see this rising star in action.
