What So Not returned to Sydney for a crazy night on Friday and the Hordern Pavilion was maxed out with crowds to the brim. Australian producer brought back the beats he is best known for by working up the audience with a variety of tracks from the past and present. Formerly a duo with Flume, Chris Emerson aka Emoh Instead created an energetic vibe in the room that made the crowd go mental.

Supporting acts Clypso and Kota Banks started bringing in the crowd with some funky electronic beats and vocals. USA’s Chrome Sparks was next in line and truly amped up the crowd before What So Not hit the stage. Chrome Sparks continued to play some epic bass beats that not only had the crowd dancing, but had himself moving all over the stage.

It was then time for What So Not to begin and the audience showed their state of excitement through their on going cheers. The stage was decked out and the show began with some crazy drum beats showing everyone the insane talent they were about to witness. This was the show that all electronic fanatics had been waiting for and it was time for What So Not to let his long awaited album ‘Not All The Beautiful Things’ shine. Over the years the Australian artist has demonstrated his diverse vision and the ongoing experimentation he has towards his own sound. Playing some of this older tracks such as High You Are and Waiting (in which he collaborated with Skrillex and RL Grime) he also played new tracks from his latest album including Warlord.

Even with a full house, the crowd still found a way to dance their asses off. With What So Not’s live sounds… the night just had a really fun vibe to it.  Over the course of the night What So Not showed Sydney exactly why he began creating music in the first place. The room was filled with positive vibes and not one person could stop dancing. If you’re someone who is fascinated by artists who change up their sound and yet still have the ability to keep their fans interested every step of the way… What So Not is definitely one to see.
