“Loving the french disco and funk droplets that give this one so much style and the grooves feel so effortless.” – Declan Byrne, triple j
“This is leisure pop meets smooth funk!” – Dave Ruby Howe, triple j Unearthed
“….you’ve managed to steer this into a zone that I can only describe as likeable. Glad you listed Daft Punk as an influence, because I can hear a slight French touch here too.” – Richard Kingsmill, triple j
“veering between stylings of hip-hop, electronica and pop to create a mix that feels like something in-between it all, brought together by a uniting sense of freeing euphoria” – Pilerats

Filipino-born, Melbourne-based producer/singer-songwriter Powloh has shared his latest laid-back, ultra-sleek new single ‘Coupla Miles High’.
Today he can also reveal that his EP Cold Summer Paradise is set to be released on FridayAugust 18, which includes previous hit ‘Paris Green’.
‘Coupla Miles High’ showcases Powloh’s versatility as an artist with its unique blend of hip hop, electronic and house. As the silky vocals drape themselves over the alluring production, the song pulls you in with its pulsing bassline and carries you through with its dazed melodies and catchy groove. It’s an elegant stoner anthem no one knew they needed.

Discussing the latest single Powloh says, “It was peak lock down when I made this song, I think I just needed to create something light and fun. It was probably one of the easiest songs I’ve ever made, one of those songs that just falls out of you and then you step back and go, “sweet, that feels done.”
Powloh is the dark horse to start paying attention to in 2023. The producer, singer-songwriter has cut his teeth over the years as a touring DJ and session musician, often in the background behind some of your favourite artists, with his true artistry simultaneously hiding away in his home studio experimenting with different sounds and styles.
Fast forward to now, armed with an array of vintage synth sounds, warm guitar tones and syncopated bass lines intertwined with drum grooves that make you want to move, the DIY artist is out to show the world what can be done by one person alone.
His recent single ‘Paris Green’ premiered on triple j Unearthed & received airplay across triple j Home & Hosed, SYN, 2SER & RRR, with the clip being featured on Milky & added to MTV Australia.
Powloh shared a BTS video of the making of his clip on TikTok which has amassed 600k+ views, showcasing his talents as a creative visionary.
With his songwriting telling stories from his colourful life, the Philippines-born, Melbourne-based musician who in his humble beginnings started as an artist and painter – is also responsible for all of the visuals you see surrounding his music through his creativity and filmmaking. A jack of all trades out to master at least some, the genre bending artist with a disregard for staying inside the lines is an outlier and a misfit just wanting to make his mark on the world.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
