PRICIE’s soulful single ‘FRIENDZONE feat. Genesis Owusu’ is further complemented today by the release of the official music video directed by award-winning videographer Daniela Federici. PRICIE’s debut single ‘too dang good’ earmarked her as one to watch, and one of Australia’s most in-demand talents, Genesis Owusu took notice, joining PRICIE for ‘FRIENDZONE’ showcasing that those in the industry took notice of her star. Director Daniela Federici, who has worked with high fashion outlets such as Vogue and GQ, pieces together the perfect visual companion to the smooth stylings of PRICIE and infectious lyricism of Genesis Owusu.
Shot at Sydney’s iconic Golden Age Cinema featuring both PRICIE and Genesis Owusu, the pair perform in a sophisticated setting, emulating a high-fashion yet 70s disco feel. The clip showcases alternating shots of PRICIE on stage, whose lyrics provide the narration of the story playing out on the retro-feeling dancefloor, the tightrope walk of being friends or being something more.

On working with Daniela and Genesis in the production of the clip, PRICIE said, “I am so honoured and excited to have had the opportunity to work with a world-renowned videographer Daniela who saw the vision and had the necessary excitement for it to come to life. Seeing everything come together on the set was like stepping into a Diana Ross world; it was exhilarating. Having Genesis Owusu, a man of many talents and very vibrant style along for the ride was brilliant and added to the magic of it all.”
‘FRIENDZONE’ was released to a series of industry appraisal, premiering on triple j, and added on rotation to triple j Unearthed, while being supported by the likes of NME AU, Purple Sneakers, Music Feeds, Acclaim, Life Without Andy, AAA Backstage, Brooklyn Vegan, and The Grapevine. Already gracing listeners with her debut record ‘too dang good’, a divine slice of rap and neo-soul, PRICIE has impressed an array of tastemakers including Ebro Darden, who supported the track on his Apple music radio show while the release also earned her praise from online tastemakers such as NME, Pilerats, Tonedeaf, American Songwriter, Atwood Magazine, Early Rising and many more. The anthemic single which PRICIE wrote for women to know their worth, quickly scored unprecedented support from triple j and Unearthed, with a stack of reviews from presenters before being announced as a feature artist and landing her first full addition to the station. PRICIE joined one of the most standout Australian acts of 2021, Genesis Owusu for his three sold-out shows at The Corner Hotel, Melbourne. She also played a recent Iso-laid performance, attracting PRICIE’s fans from all over the world and delighting them with her powerful vocals.
The official video for ‘FRIENDZONE feat. Genesis Owusu’ is out now via Sweat It Out.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
