Hailing from Mount Gambier, South Australia and relocating to their new home of Melbourne, Pridelands return with brand new single, Dark Sources and a string of live shows supported by BLKLST.

Dark Sources is the follow up to their 2018 EP, Any Colour You Desire. Dark Sources was recorded with Lance Prenc at Sing Sing Studio and Prenc Audio, mastered by Mike K at Rogue Planet Mastering and mixing duties handled by Adam ‘Nolly’ Getgood (Northlane, Periphery, Devin Townsend to name a few).

Vocalist Joshua Cory explains the meaning behind the song, “It’s the feeling of holding forbidden knowledge of sinister origin. The song describes the pressure of feeling silenced by the weight of things you’ve discovered by chance. If we didn’t know about the darker sides to the world and industries we’ve found ourselves in as people over the years, would we be better, happier people? Would we be better off without it?”

Pridelands are no strangers to the live scene.They have shared the stage with local heavyweights Northlane, Hellions, Saviour as well as international acts such as The Ghost Inside, Attila, Stray From The Path and Counterparts. In December 2018, they embarked on their maiden ‘Any Colour You Desire‘ headline tour, with all shows almost a sell out.

2019 kicked off on a high when Pridelands won the triple j Unearthed competition where they performed the Unify Festival main stage and scoring the triple j Unearthed Feature Artist that week.

In support of the Dark Sources single, Pridelands will be performing a string of headline shows across the east coast in June before hitting the road in August supporting The Brave and Polaris.
