Melbourne based Alt Rock experimentalists Primal have unleashed their highly anticipated debut (self-titled) EP to the world.
The band have also released a music video for their track ‘Only Animals’ to compliment the EP release.
Comprising of 7-tracks that sprawl across a multitude of genres, each one different to the last. Produced by Samuel Bassal (Ocean Grove and Harbours) and written entirely by frontman Ethan Taylor (formerly of Weighbridge), the EP explores themes of manhood, coming of age and the difficult navigation of the modern day.

Primal was formed in mid-2022, after frontman Ethan Taylor and renowned drummer Samuel Bassal (of Ocean Grove) joined forces to record a collection of tracks that would come to be known as The Primal EP.
In October of 2022, the fully formed band released their debut single ‘Bodies’ and quickly rose to local popularity, with their first headliner (and simultaneously their first live appearance) selling out.

This was quickly followed up by support slots for Yours Truly, Void of Vision, Those Who Dream, Juno and Ramona Sky, as well as achieving their first interstate shows all within the first year of performing as a band.
The ‘Primal’ EP is available for download and streaming on all major online services.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
