in the Gold Coast
this October

PROMISELAND is set to be Australia’s first major music festival that blends Reggae, Afrobeats, and R&B into one cohesive experience for fans. Forging its way as the most wildly eclectic music festival in 2022, it will hit the Gold Coast for an enormous two-day event for its inaugural edition on 1 & 2 October. Tickets are on sale now HERE
With a huge all-star lineup of legendary artists from all corners of the world, PROMISELAND is set to deliver the ultimate festival experience for thousands of Australian fans who pride themselves on being Reggae, R&B, and Afrobeats enthusiasts. This is a large portion of the Australian music market that don’t have their own dedicated music festival, until now.
International superstars gracing the Gold Coast shores include UK reggae group UB40 featuring Ali Campbell who have collectively sold over 70 million records and toured the world for over 30 years. The smooth, suave and edgy prominent U.S. rapper of Fugees fame, Wyclef Jean, and rising star, Burna Boy who is arguably the poster child for the whole Afrobeats slash Afrofusion movement, it’s worth noting Burna Boy will look to celebrate Nigeria’s Independence Day whilst performing at PROMISELAND.
PROMISELAND 2022 marks the first-time global superstar Burna Boy will be in Australia, and the first time Wyclef Jean has performed here in over 14 years.
Initially announced in 2021, the festival was forced to postpone due to COVID-19 restrictions. The reinvigorated lineup lives up to the hype surrounding PROMISELAND as the only festival in Australia to intersect the closely connected sounds of R&B, Reggae, Afrobeats and more, the lineup consists of over 40 different artists, each with their own piquant and exotic sonic blend.
Locally, PROMISELAND will feature some of the biggest names in Australian and New Zealand music including Sons of Zion, William Singe, Youngn Lipz, Sammy J, Common Kings, and Scribe.
PROMISELAND is a brand new, multi-genre live music experience showcasing the culturally diverse, invigorating, and effervescent sounds of the African continent and the vast triangle of Polynesia. For one weekend in October, PROMISELAND will take over the picturesque Doug Jennings Park, bringing a series of vivacious live performances and an unforgettable celebration of the rich cultures that come with them.
The scenic park setting, Doug Jennings Park will be transformed to deliver an immersive experience with a spirited collective ambiance. This will feature a luxury VIP area where revelers can interact and gain access to premium viewing, a foodie paradise with a variety of food trucks and multicultural offerings set against the brilliant blue tropical skies, with the famous Gold Coast skyline.
“Promiseland brings together different yet beautifully interconnected cultures from around the world for one memorable music experience. We envision this new festival to build a foundation and bring together a community of fans that isn’t recognised enough in the live music landscape,” said Festival Director, Emal Naim.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
