Psychic Social Club, the up and coming Naarm/Melbourne-based f our-piece, bring a surge of indie rock melodies with their latest single ‘We Don’t Talk’ out Friday, May 19.
Consisting of frontman Jared Roscioli, guitarist Simon Farrelly, bassist Chris Baxter, and drummer Luke Bratchford, the tenacious foursome have been making waves in the local indie music scene, and ‘We Don’t Talk’ is a tsunami.
Influenced by massive Australian names including Spacey Jane, The Vanns, and Bakers Eddy, the local indie rock inspiration shines through the track, with a swell of fuzzy guitars and rippling vocals. ‘We Don’t Talk’ surges with passion through its driving rhythm section and soaring chorus.
The tune is a cathartic unbottling of emotions; a meditation on past relationships that have run their course. With chant worthy lyrics and an anthemic chorus, ‘We Don’t Talk’ provides a therapeutic release of words unsaid.
Frontman Jared said of the story behind the track: “’We Don’t Talk’ is a reflection on past relationships that faded when I moved interstate as a 17-year-old. It seems like a lifetime ago, but I still reminisce on those lost connections and consider how things might be different in an alternative life if I stayed where I was or just tried harder to hold on to them.”
Christened a “mega infectious… big balloon of pop-rock” by Triple J’s Declan Byrne, Psychic Social Club has established a name within the local band rooms of some of the city’s most iconic venues. This four-piece have been hard to miss, supporting local acts The Velvet Club, St Emerald and Strawbz, as well as playing sold-out shows at The Workers Club, The Catfish and Last Chance Rock and Roll Bar.
Adding to the handful of singles that they’ve been teasing the scene with since 2019, the band’s latest effort proves that the time to join the club is now. ‘We Don’t Talk’ by Psychic Social Club is out on Friday May 19.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
