Miiesha will be joining some of Queensland’s hottest musicians performing at the 2020 Queensland Music Awards (QMAs) taking place at The Fortitude Music Hall on Tuesday 3 March 2020.
Presented by Oztix, the QMA People’s Choice Awards, are also now open via themusic.com.au and ready for the public to cast their votes to determine Queensland’s best Venues (Regional and Metro) and Festival of the Year. People’s Choice Awards voting is open until 11:59pm (AEST), Wednesday 5 February 2020.
After months of deliberation by over 100 Australian and international music industry figures, the 2020 QMA finalists have been announced today including Busby Marou who are up for four awards, WAAX, The Jungle Giants, Miiesha, DVNA, Mau Power, Greta Stanely, Osaka Punch, Milton Man Gogh and many more (please see the full list below and at the QMA Finalists Page).
Joining the finalists at the QMAs are the Billy Thorpe Scholarship shortlisted nominees, one of which will be awarded the prestigious $10,000 Scholarship thanks to major sponsor Arts Queensland.
Funded by the Queensland Government, the Billy Thorpe Scholarship has a long history of supporting Queensland’s most promising songwriters including Sam Hales (The Jungle Giants), Jeremy Neale and most recently, Jaimee Fryer (Pool Shop) from Brisbane.
The 2020 QMAs will see a flood of new initiatives including the inaugural awarding of the Emerging Artist of the Year Award presented by Noisegate and the commencement of QMusic’s ‘Ones To Watch And Listen’ program which will champion Queensland’s breakout artists.
The QMAs welcome TRYP Fortitude Valley Hotel as the Official Hotel for the Queensland Music Awards. For further accommodation information visit the QMA Travel webpage.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
