Navigating a digital river of synthesis and sentiment, QUAILS writes music for the ardent and the impassioned. Today, the Sydney singer/songwriter and producer releases her sophomore EP WORLDS, a six-track excursion into the space between love and loss.

The EP delivers tormented, honest lyricism merged with emotionally deep production and features collaborations with Chilean producer Barretso and local producers Lockjaw, Sondrio. “We Don’t Need Entertainment” was the first track released from the EP at the close of 2017. From its very first form, the song became the leader to the direction QUAILS  explores on WORLDS.

Connecting the dots between electronica, R&B and moody pop, QUAILS made her mark on with the release of her debut self-titled EP, bringing two songs to the attention of many. “High Hopes” and “With You” picked up radio play, club play and sync spots in hit TV shows ‘Lucifer’, MTV’s ‘Catfish’ and ‘The Wrong Girl.’ QUAILS also secured a sync in the Netflix movie ‘Death Note’, collaborating with Jordan F for the track “Feel My Love.” ​

“I have always been fascinated by the layers and psychology which comprises human interaction and relationships. It is a constant theme in the music I write and WORLDS is no exception. I am always trying to capture and express those intense feelings of longing and loss, all the while experimenting with vocal work and having accompanying music which makes you feel something. I spent a lot of time bingeing Westworld and watching sci-fi films around the time I was writing and finishing the EP so I guess the title is kind of ambiguous and lends itself to unreal, dystopian and metaphysical worlds, but also in a more personal sense, honing in on those intimate and internal worlds” – QUAILS

Following the success of her recent single “Powerless,” QUAILS also unveils her new single “Lost In You,” the second track on WORLDS co-produced Barretso and one of the first songs written for the EP. An immediate song that brings together riffing vocals, sparse up-tempo beats and a chorus that moves the ear and body – it’s an infectious melodic groove that lives up to its message.
