Brisbane’s resident coastal misfits Reckless Coast unveil their latest East Coast highway tune ‘Bad Habits’ – fresh off the bat from supporting the likes of Satin Cali and ARIA chart artist Jack Biilmann. Bringing the band’s coastal pub-rock persona to the forefront, ‘Bad Habits’ features a 1970s spiced, surf-esque energy, with pub-mosh potential.

‘Bad Habits’ outlines toxic situations people keep returning to. Frontman and songwriter Jaeden Ogston explains “Sometimes we can get so used to a situation that we don’t see ourselves deteriorating. Like, am I actually in love with this person? Or have I become numb from all the bullsh*t?”

Recorded with Cody McWaters (The Chats, King Stingray) ‘Bad Habits’ is the first of five tracks from Reckless Coast’s upcoming EP, set for an early 2024 release.

With Brick Lane Brewing Co. as their first major partnership, the trio will celebrate the release with their debut festival performance at ‘Crusher Fest’ at Brisbane’s The Brightside, on December 2nd, appearing alongside The Delta Riggs and Press Club.

RECKLESS COAST.

Highlighted by The Music as the Queensland feature artist earlier this year, Reckless Coast forms the long-awaited bond between Indie/Alternate listeners and Retro Rockers – a salted, sonic lovechild of Foo Fighters adrenaline and The Rolling Stones swagger.

Their euphoric energy has been featured internationally on playlists such as Apple Music’s ‘The New Rock’, Too Much Love Mag (Miami, USA), and Soundofus.com (France). This comes alongside consistent press coverage from The Bucket Playlist (Europe), Metal Music Planet (Ireland), and The AU Review (Australia).

Remaining a totally independent, self-managed band, Reckless Coast has been reaching milestone after milestone and continues to grow into their international potential.
