10 years in the making, finally we see the new 14 track album ‘NOTORIOUS D.O.G’ from the Resin Dogs. As always there is an array of artists from across the globe and locally who are a part of this new record, and for ‘NOTORIOUS D.O.G’, Dave and Katch enlisted some friends well known to the Dogs collective, some who they have worked and collaborated with before, and some new.

Alan Mawdsley (The Nextmen, DJ Vadim and Roots Manuva), who mixed the last Resin Dogs album ‘More’ returned to work with the band on this latest record in the studio at Hydrofunk HQ.  The band also worked with artists including long-time Collaborator Abstract Rude, who returns on the track ‘Pack Your Bags’, Essa who provided the vocals for Como No’, and Mr Hip Hop radio man himself Hau who appears on three tracks.  Locally Dialectrix appears on ‘Head for the Hills and Chill’ and Still The Beats’, Brisbane Singer Kel on Earth (Bankrupt Billionaires) supplied vocals for two tracks ‘Ride’ and ‘So Long’, and Melbourne drummer/producer Plutonic lab was a guest producer on the record.

Released on Hydrofunk Records on Friday November 23, the album has already produced 3 singles including the latest, ‘Activate the Soul’ which features Melbourne emcee Mantra aka Rob Tremlett, who is fast becoming one of Australia’s most eminent hip hop artists.  The band filmed the live companion video at a recent show in their hometown Brisbane, with Mantra joining them on stage to cut the music video.
