PRAISE FOR ‘BLOOD’
“These dudes are no foreigners to funk and by no means are they strangers to soul but damn, Count To Five might just be the nicest fusion of the two that I’ve heard… Friday’s are best spent listening to track’s like this” – I Oh You
“an emblem of what Milosh is capable of – magnetic vocals, unshakable melodies, arrangements that are both delicate and robust – it’s a triumph” – ★★★★ NME
“The live feel of the album, with the collision of traditional orchestration and silky synths, gives BLOOD a more human feel. It’s intense in its subtlety, not wanting to be overshadowed by bombastic production” – Line of Best Fit
“MELTING MOMENT RIGHT NOW … can you feel the heat in here? the sweat of my tears, it’s so lovely” – Linda Marigliano, triple j
“a seductive fusion of stripped-back pop and whispery R&B” ★★★★
The Sydney Morning Herald
“an unabashedly romantic project and the strengths… gorgeous, swooning instrumentation topped with aching melodies”
– The Australian

Rhye shares his Blood Remixed album, out now via Loma Vista Recordings / Caroline Australia. The album features 14 re-imaginations of songs from the sophomore album Blood released earlier this year to immense praise, with The Guardian calling it a “perfectly judged sepulchral take on R&B” and NME proclaimed to be a “triumph.” Milosh’s new body of work was created after parting ways with producer Robin Hannibal.
Rhye will return to Australia in February and March 2019 for a run of headline shows and festival appearances at Golden Plains, Wollongong’s just-announced Farmer & The Owl, Adelaide and PerthFestivals. Full list of dates and ticketing information below.

Blood saw the rebirth of Rhye and Milosh coming into himself fully-formed while staying true to what NPR says is the “reserved, understated and brilliant soul” of the project. With Blood Remixed, Mike Milosh’s resilient yet purposefully understated take on R&B stretches beyond the confines of any genre with the remixes, giving listeners the opportunity to hear Blood from a new perspective.
A consummate creative, Rhye announced Blood Remixed earlier this fall with the visual for RY X’s remix of “Waste,” which was conceptualized and directed by Rhye’s creative partner Genevieve Medow Jenkins. Previously, Rhye has collaborated with Jenkins on the music videos for Blood album singles “Phoenix,”“Count To Five,” “Song For You,” and the visual for the track “Hymn.” The remix visuals draw from Rhye and Jenkins’ shared experience living in Berlin and starts with a pair of nude figures in a spacious brownstone loft peering through the window in anticipation of what’s the come. Seen together, the remix visuals create a singular narrative that’s seeped in a magnetic after dark dance party inspired by the eclectic energy of Berlin’s nightclubs. Each visual explores different characters at the party, their movements and interactions mimicking the sound of each song. In Poolside’s take on “Feel Your Weight,” two male dancers movements are intertwined, giving personification to the dance elements of the track.
