88rising shares These Nights, a blissful 80’s R&B-inspired duet from Indonesian rapper Rich Brian and K-Pop superstar CHUNG HA. These Nights is the latest single from 88rising’s forthcoming crew album Head In The Clouds II.
Listen to the song HERE now.
These Nights is an exercise in 80s-era R&B with vintage disco production perfect for late night cruising. A song about living for the nighttime and seizing the moment with a new love, These Nights features passionate modulated crooning from Rich Brian (his first release since sophomore album The Sailor) and silky smooth vocals in both English and Korean from CHUNG HA. It also marks the first time the K-Pop sensation has collaborated with 88rising.
These Nights marks the perfect time for a collaboration between both artists, adding to an already incredible year for both Rich Brian and CHUNG HA. Rich Brian stunned the internet with his Dave Meyers-directed video for “Yellow,” earned praise from the President of Indonesia during a meeting at the Presidential Palace, and recently began his global headlining tour. In January, CHUNG HA had a #1 on Korea’s KPop Hot 100 Chart and a #6 on Billboard’s World Digital Sales Chart with her Gotta Go single. While this past June saw CHUNG HA release her latest EP Flourishing with her lead single Snapping charting at #3 on Korea’s KPop Hot 100 and #9 on Billboard’s World Digital Sales chart. Already a multi-platinum artist in Korea and the 4th most searched K-pop female idol on YouTube, her music has amassed over 1B+ streams across platforms worldwide. Following the release of his critically acclaimed album The Sailor, Brian makes his debut on 88rising’s forthcoming Head In The Clouds II project with These Nights.

Accompanying the song is a music video for “These Nights.” Directed by Mike La Burt (Joji’s “WANTED U”, Rich Brian – “Who That Be”), the video is a neon-tinged motorcycle drama with infectious head bobs, luxurious mullets, and tongue-in-cheek choreography.
These Nights follows 88rising announcing the release date for their Head In The Clouds II crew album (out October 11 via 88rising, exclusively distributed by 12Tone Music), throwing the 2nd edition of their Head in the Clouds festival at Los Angeles State Historic Park last month to over 22,000 fans, and dropping the first 3 singles from the crew album from NIKI, RHYME SO, and Joji & Don Krez. Head in the Clouds II is executive produced by Joji and is set to feature some unprecedented global collaborations in addition to 88rising’s core crew of Rich Brian, Joji, NIKI, AUGUST 08 and Higher Brothers
The Head in the Clouds II album will also feature exclusive work from legendary Japanese artist Hajime Sorayama. Sorayama, fresh off his recent collaboration with fashion designer Kim Jones for the Dior Men’s Pre-Fall ‘19 collection, is acting as visual art director for the album and it’s accompanying line of merchandise. The campaign as well as the merch collection takes inspiration from the Japanese artist’s signature “Sexy Robot” motifs, featuring graphics and prints on apparel and merchandise as well as all album and single art.
