The cover artwork for BRITPOP features a painting of one of Robbie’s most iconic looks – his red tracksuit outfit that he wore to attend Glastonbury Festival in 1995 at the height of the Britpop era.
On BRITPOP – Robbie says: “I set out to create the album that I wanted to write and release after I left Take That in 1995. It was the peak of Britpop and a golden age for British music. I’ve worked with some of my heroes on this album; it’s raw, there are more guitars and it’s an album that’s even more upbeat and anthemic than usual. There’s some ‘Brit’ in there and there’s certainly some ‘pop’ too – I’m immensely proud of this as a body of work.”
‘Rocket’ – which features Black Sabbath legend Tony Iommi on guitar, is a high-octane rock track featuring an instantly anthemic chorus, pounding drums and a signature guitar solo from the heavy metal pioneer. Written by Robbie, Karl Brazil, Tony Iommi and Tom Longworth, the accompanying video has Robbie moving around several London landmarks accompanied by a flash mob, wearing a punk-inspired outfit, while other scenes were shot with Robbie and Tony Iommi together in the latter’s hometown, Birmingham.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
