announce Irish band
FLORENCE ROAD
as special guest for
their October tour
With two shows already sold out and more added to meet demand, Royel Otis are excited to confirm Irish band Florence Road as special guest for all six shows of their meet me in the car tour this October.
The meet me in the car tour will see Royel Otis return home after playing nearly every major overseas festival, marking their biggest Australian tour. Fans will get their first chance to hear the band perform tracks from their upcoming sophomore album, hickey, set for release on August 22 via OURNESS/Universal.
Royel Otis have channelled everything they’ve learned from firing up audiences into their new album, hickey. True to its name, this latest project is, in Royel’s words, “naughty and romantic all at the same time. Because love bites harder than any other emotion in the world.” It is also a clear step forward for the band—cleaner, more confident, and constantly dazzling. Tracks like the melancholic, melody-rich ‘car’ and the motorik rhythms of new single ‘say something’ — a favourite of the pair’s to perform — showcase a refined yet propulsive sound.
Florence Road are rapidly becoming one of the most talked-about new bands in the world. Praised by NME, Rolling Stone, Clash, and The Line of Best Fit, the Wicklow four-piece had built a devoted audience of nearly 1 million followers, all before their debut mixtape had even dropped.
Bringing their own distinct sound to the table, Florence Road are a band writing and performing music that is both enigmatic and compelling. Their debut mixtape Fall Back (released in June) has already amassed over 5 million streams and is a bold and emotionally charged collection that captures the chaos and clarity of coming of age, framed through an unapologetically Irish creative lens.
Fronted by the magnetic Lily Aron, with best friends Emma Brandon (guitar), Ailbhe Barry (bass), and Hannah Kelly (drums), the band’s connection is palpable, translating into performances that feel raw, real, and impossible to look away from. Florence Road have been supporting Olivia Rodrigo, Wallows and sombr overseas this year and will perform their debut shows in Australia as special guest for Royel Otis this October.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
