The people have decided, Ruby Fields will guest host triple j Breakfast next week!
Before they head off on holiday, Ben & Liam put it to the triple j listeners to ask which host they’d like to hear on triple j Brekkie next week. Tim from Geelong threw Ruby’s hat in the ring and the textline was unanimous. Ruby Fields FTW.
We got to know Ruby in 2017, and it wasn’t long before she scored a top ten spot in the 2018 Hottest 100 for her haunting hit ‘Dinosaurs’. Plus her off-the-cuff sense of humour has spawned a series of memes and an audience demanding more. So, when asked who triple j listeners wanted to host triple j Brekkie, they jumped at the chance to hear more from Fieldsy.
Taking on her first ever radio gig, Ruby Fields says “I’ve always loved spinning a yarn and making people laugh – guessing this is the biggest chance I’ll ever have to do that where people can only boo me on the text line. I’ll be ringing up some cooked mates, talking to my vet about my rat (busy life, will have to multitask) and painstakingly avoiding inappropriate words.”
Kicking off next week, Ruby Fields will present triple j Brekkie from 6 – 9am Mon 1 – Fri 5 July. Tune in for the tunes, banter and regular rat updates from Monday.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
