For Australian music royalty RÜFÜS DU DOL, 2023 marks the 10th anniversary of their debut album ‘Atlas’. Travel back in time and from the moment the first single from the album, the 2 x ARIA Platinum ‘Take Me’, came to the fore in March of 2013, RÜFÜS DU DOL had made an indelible mark on the industry. Appearing in the triple j Hottest 100 of that year alongside album singles ‘Desert Night’ and ‘Tonight’, ‘Take Me’ had listeners lost in the emotion and techniclour of the RÜFÜS DU DOL universe. Going on to captivate local audiences on their Worlds Within Worlds Tour and performing at Splendour In The Grass, The Big Day Out and Falls Festival among others, Concrete Playground put it simply after seeing their Enmore Theatre show “with a tour like that for a debut album, we can only imagine what else lies in store.” Now having graced the stages of internationally renowned festivals like Coachella and Lollapalooza, performing numerous sold out tours around the globe, bagging multiple ARIA Awards and winning a GRAMMY for the Best Dance/Electronic Recording for 2021 single ‘Alive’, RÜFÜS DU SOL has taken everyone’s expectations for success and infinitely exceeded them.

Sweat It Out founder, the late Ajax, championed the band from the moment he first heard RÜFÜS DU SOL. Jamie Raeburn, CEO of Sweat It Out, shares his earliest memory of Ajax bringing in the band’s demos to the label “I remember the moment I first heard RÜFÜS DU SOL. Jaxy [Ajax] had been raving about this band from “The Shire” that were golden. We were in a sketchy dungeon in Darlinghurst, with about 4 folk around one desk. Jaxy was rattling on at a million miles an hour, eyes all aglow in anticipation to see our reaction. He played ‘Take Me’….which blew any doubt I had out the window. Like gone. The guys were big fans of Ajax & he knew exactly what they were and where they were going.”
