Australian-born Sweden-based indie-roots artist Ryan Edmond is set to release his compelling debut single ‘From The Start’ – produced by Craig Harnath (Motor Ace, Jet, Bodyjar) and Jez Giddings (Paul Dempsey, The Living End, Ash Grunwald) at Hot House Studios, Melbourne.
‘From The Start’ is a swooning and infectious indie-pop track that combines deft percussion, syncopated melodic bass with intricate and reggae-inspired guitars. Subtle brooding horns intertwine and wrap around the instrumental arrangement as Edmond’s endearing vocals hover elegantly above, with his gorgeous and mesmerising falsetto.
Edmond talks about the meaning behind ‘From The Start’: “’From the Start’ is about life, friendships and relationships slipping away over time. It’s serves as a reminder to find the time to maintain those relationships and be careful not to lose yourself in this fast paced world of too much working and not enough living”.
Edmond is a multi-instrumental singer-songwriter who hails from the small town of Rockingham, Western Australia. As a cornet player, he has performed with various acclaimed bands and artists, however in the last few years has begun writing, singing and touring under his own name.
Edmond is currently based in Sweden and has recently been spending time in Australia and the UK recording and touring.
In the coming weeks Ryan Edmond will perform four shows in Sweden and reveal an accompanying music video for ‘From The Start’.
‘From The Start’ is available worldwide now

Favourite New Music
Matt Corby – No Ordinary Life
Matt Corby is one of my favourite artists, so when I heard he was dropping a new album I was super excited! The contrast between the groove on the drums and the dreamy keys combined with Matt Corby’s voice is just bang on!! Oh, and apparently he played every instrument on the album…
.
Miiesha – Black Privilege
I first heard this incredible song a few days ago and I have been smashing it on repeat! The powerful lyrics, R&B/hip hop production and Miiesha’s powerful yet relaxed voice instantly gets you hooked! I can’t wait to hear more from Miiesha!
.
Boy and Bear – Hold your Nerve
A brand-new track from Boy and Bear after four years and it definitely hit the spot for me! The track “Hold your Nerve” comes across as a very uplifting song. It’s almost like a warning… they are back and stronger than ever!
.
The Tallest Man on Earth – I’m a stranger now
Kristian Mattson with just his guitar and vocals grabs your attention and keeps it for the full four minutes and twenty seconds. I love his song writing, vocals and intricate guitar parts! This track has to be one of my favourites!
.
Tame Impala – Borderline
Just last week I got to see Tame Impala live at a festival in Gothenburg, Sweden. They put on such a great show as always! “Borderline” shows off Kevin Parkers dreamy vocals and Tame Impala’s signature synth sounds. Also hidden amongst the happy vibe you get from the track is some very melancholy lyrics! What more could you want!

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
