Iconic spiced rum Sailor Jerry and the legends at Yours and Owls are turning up the heat for Jerry Can & A Van 2025, unveiling a stacked lineup of local talent set to join WAAX on their highly anticipated “UR A RAT“ tour East Coast run this August and September.
From raw punk energy to genre-bending alt-rock, these rising acts channel the same rebellious, DIY spirit that defines both Sailor Jerry and the Jerry Can & A Van ethos: music with grit, heart, and zero pretence.
Leading the charge as the official touring support act are Brisbane punks Worm Girlz, hitting every stop on the tour. Ready for total worm domination, the band channel fierce, femme-driven chaos that’s as messy as it is magnetic; with their unapologetic energy and riotous live shows, they’ve fast become one of the most exciting underground acts on the East Coast, perfectly embodying the chaos, fun, and fierce spirit that Jerry Can & A Van is built on.
.

Joining them in each city will be a handpicked lineup of local favourites, each bringing their own flavour and fire to the mix, including:

Talking about the support acts joining her on the tour, Maz De Vita explains “This tour is about reclaiming WAAX in the most raw, honest way possible – and to have these incredible bands join us makes it even more exciting. Each act brings their own energy and story, and it’s such a perfect match for what Jerry Can & A Van is all about: connection, chaos, and community.”
As previously announced, Jerry Can & A Van will also feature a special Sydney-only flash tattoo pop-up with celebrity tattoo artist Lauren Winzer, teaming up with Maz for exclusive content and a one-day-only ink experience.
After a three-year hiatus, Brisbane’s WAAX returns leaner, louder, and full of fire with their new single “UR A RAT” and a run of intimate, high-energy shows. Kicking off in Brisbane at The Brightside on 29 August, the tour rolls through Canberra (5 Sept), Sydney (6 Sept), Melbourne (11 Sept), and wraps in Frankston (12 Sept).
Maz adds, “Teaming up with Lauren felt perfect. Tattoos have always been a way I connect with fans, like permanent time stamps on our shared experiences. Starting in Brisbane makes it even more special. This chapter is all about evolution, empowerment, and connection.”
Rooted in DIY spirit, Jerry Can & A Van celebrates grit, heart, and the messy magic of live shows – just like Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum, a bold, smooth, and spicy tribute to creativity and self-expression.
Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum 700ml RRP $59.95 is available in Dan Murphy’s, BWS and independent retailers.

AMNPLIFY – DB

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
