According to triple j listeners, time can heal all wounds and land you a place in the Hottest 100 of the Decade!
This Saturday, you’ll hear 9 songs that have never appeared in the Hottest 100 before, suggesting that some songs take time to reach their full potential.
You’ll have to wait to find out which newbies make it into the Hottest 100 of the Decade, but until then, here are a few more titbits we can tell you…
12 songs placed higher than they did in the year they were released
Compared to its original ranking, the biggest jump for a song is 74 spots
Compared to its original ranking, the biggest drop for a song is 93 spots
You’ll hear 49 songs from Australian artists!
We received over 1.8 million votes: 47.9% from people aged between 18-24 and 79.1% from people aged 30 and under
