SCANDAL TREE
release new single
BWS
today

Scandal Tree is proud and eager to announce the release of their follow up single, BWS, on June 1,2023.
BWS is a song that original vocalist, Jase and Rip, jammed on before the formation of Scandal Tree in 2019.
‘We belted out the structure during our hiatus from a band environment as a duo. Eventually, we formed Scandal Tree and BWS over time took on a new life’ (Rip Ryder, founder and resident tub thumper)
BWS was written when both, Jase and Rip, worked in the liquor industry. We posed a deep and meaningful theological question. Is there really a party in hell, and if so, will there be beer and wine there?
.
.
‘I mean most of us are heading there anyway if you read the Good Book… and it’s supposed to be the party place, right? Well, after we’ve gone through our obligatory hellish torments for the day. Even those once a week churchie goers, or religious do gooders, are probably heading there too, because if you’re only going to worship out of fear or doing good deeds out of a perceived reward then that’s not proper religious devotion. One should be doing these things for the simple goodness of the act. So, why fight it and just come and join us at the party ‘ (Rip Ryder)
BWS goes back to the roots of what Scandal Tree is about musically and is a perfect follow up to their single, One Way Road, and debut EP, Layin’ Down Your Cards released last year in November 2022.
We also say goodbye to Matty and Wayne as they embark on new musical journeys with the release of BWS. This song signals the return of Scandal Tree back to its no nonsense, hard hitting, and catchy groove’s with that hint of structural inventiveness which is classic Scandal Tree style.
BWS is scheduled for release June 1, 2023 so make sure you don’t miss out on this epic track. You can follow this link to pre save this track Scandal Tree – BWS Pre Save

SCANDAL TREE
Band Bio
Scandal Tree is a Hard Rock outfit formed in 2019 and running out of Brisbane and the Gold Coast. It was an original vision of founding member, Rip Ryder, the band’s resident tub thumper.
Scandal Tree has had many transformations in its time with members coming and going for one reason or another.
However, with stalwart members Rip, and Flaky always at the helm, & feeling a bit like Sean Kinney and Jerry Cantrell from AIC at times, they have managed to keep the band functioning and together. Their resilience, perseverance and drive keeps The Tree growing.
Originally Scandal Tree recorded with Cian Warbrick of Smooth Edge Recording for our debut self titled EP release in 2020, Scandal Tree, featuring such tracks as Bogan, Lost Along the Way and Scandal Tree. As a unit we have continued to play many hard rock, and energetic shows around Brisbane.
Scandal Tree followed this up by recording with Nik Carpenter at Core Studios in October 2021 and the consequent release of their debut single Nothin’ To Lose in January 2022 resulted.
A fist pumping, heart racing, cracker of an Aussie pub rock song to a great reception from broadcasters, playlist curators, reviewers and publicists:
‘It’s brash and in the red like the sound of Scandal Tree’s hard rock heroes but I’m also picking up some Aussie-fried dirt track riffdom too’. Dave Ruby Howe (abc.net.au/triplejunearth)
‘Scandal Tree has announced its arrival on the music scene with their first official single and powerful rock anthem “Nothing To Lose”. This isn’t rock music for the faint-hearted, so if you like your music to be loud and brash, then let me introduce you to the newest addition to your ‘on repeat’ playlist’. Melanie Griffiths, AMNplify
Good old school rock mate. My kind of music and done fucken well!’ Kris Peters, HEAVY Mag
After the release of, Nothin’ To Lose, we finally got our act together to record and release our long awaited debut EP, Layin’ Down Your Cards, featuring such blistering tracks as One Way Road, Long Goodbye and Ball n Chain.
Rip and the Scandal Tree lads keep on pushing forward on their musical journey, and we thoroughly enjoy delivering some authentic old school hard rock that makes people feel a bit of nostalgia. Its the kind of music, we believe, that will have your feet stomping, hands tapping and head nodding with our true blue Aussie grooves.
Scandal Tree’s mission as a band is to create new and innovative ways to interpret and produce songs that stay true to our shared musical links, heritage and influences.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
