SCENE & HEARD
SET TIMES ANNOUNCED
CAIRNS // BRISBANE // NEWCASTLE
LESS THAN FOUR WEEKS TO GO

.

The line up for SCENE & HEARD Festival has had the whole country talking for months and today with just under four weeks to go, punters get the lowdown on when it’s all throwing down with the release of the festival set times.

With one main stage across all three locations there’s not a lot of room for clashes but maximum time to sit back, reminisce and soak it all in.

For tropical Cairns, the festival’s newly announced home at Cairns Showgrounds, Scene & Heard debuts the festival run in North Queensland with riffs on riffs.  Music lovers can expect a full day of ripping sets and singalongs from the likes of Magic Dirt to Gyroscope and Alex Lloyd to Sneaky Sound System. Jebediah play as the tropical Queensland sun sets before Cairns exclusive act You Am I and then Wolfmother whip the crowd into a frenzy.

Wolfmother’s Andrew Stockdale recently revealed in an interview that the band’s Scene & Heard headline sets would be ‘colossal’. With the band taking out the prime time spot across Cairns, Brisbane and Newcastle,  they’re promising one thing…. it’s going to be loud.

In second stop Brisbane it’s a slightly different vibe with Even and locals Butterfingers getting stuck in early. Gyroscope, British India, Sneaky Sound System and Alex Lloyd go back to back for some very special nostalgia inducing throwbacks. The Dandy Warhols (US) make their Scene & Heard debut in the early evening while Potbelleez DJs keep the party going into the night, long after Wolfmother’s final ‘White Unicorn’ leaves the room.

Newcastle might be the last city on the tour but it’s going to be the loudest. Across a huge outdoor stage, there’s a solid warm up with Even, Magic Dirt, Sneaky Sound System and Jebediah before Alex Lloyd enters playing moments from Black The Sun and more. Newcastle exclusives Eskimo Joe are blessed with the sunset spot before The Dandy Warhols (USA) and Wolfmother arrive to bring it home.

Newcastle also hosts the Don’t Come Monday Stage – a party zone designed to evoke only the best memories of the boiler room. Championed this year by The Potbelleez DJ’s it features the likes of Andy Murphy and John Course ripping up the decks.

Once upon a time, the timetable would be ripped out of that beloved street press centerfold, marked up and cherished until game day.

Final release tickets are now on sale here.
