2x Latin Grammy winner Sebastián Yatra commanded the 2023 Premio Lo Nuestro stage tonight as a triple-threat: co-host, show opening performer, and the leading nominee! Yatra took home 3 awards, winning the categories for “Album of the Year” (“Dharma”), “Pop Song of the Year” (“Tacones Rojos”), “Pop/Ballad Song of the Year (“Contigo” with Pablo Alborán) and “Pop Male Artist of the Year.”
The man of the evening kicked off the show with a high-energy, debut live performance of the singer-songwriter’s latest feel-good pop single, “Una Noche Sin Pensar” (translated to “A Night Without Thinking”), his first single of the year marking a new musical chapter for Sebastián Yatra. Yatra co-hosted the Premio Lo Nuestro ceremony – and accepted awards [watch here] – wearing a selection of runway looks from designers Dsquared2, Dolce & Gabbana, Baldessarini, and Valentino, in that order, with Tiffany & Co. jewelry. Earlier on the carpet the chart-topping artist wore Etro with Christian Loubotin boots that he continued to rock later in the night.
Yatra’s new musical offering “Una Noche Sin Pensar,” and recent award wins, are just the start of yet another big year for the multi-platinum Colombian-American. The versatility of Sebastian Yatra’s musical genius is also showcased on his last release, a Grammy nominated, 4x US platinum album, “Dharma” and “Dharma+” deluxe. The 17-track project transcends genres and achieved multi-platinum certifications around the world, accruing 9.1 billion combined streams and scoring the singer-songwriter the #1 spot in the Global and US debut album chart in Spotify. His album ‘Dharma’ reached the #1 spot in Billboard’s Latin Streaming chart and in the Latin Songs Digital Sales chart. The 27-year old multi-hyphenate has amassed 29.6 Billion combined streams and nearly 26 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
